^^ 67-72 had a fully removable top. 73 and up had a pickup type cab and only the back part was removable. You can find some really nice ones out there.

it cost me $1800 to have my Audi S4's CV Boots / front axles replaced+1200 for scheduled maintenancestart saving now
11/24/2006 7:13:02 PM
are those parts made out of pure titanium?
11/24/2006 7:14:42 PM
just audi
11/24/2006 7:17:58 PM
DUDE GET THE E36 M3. IT IS BEST EVARR
11/24/2006 8:52:07 PM
the tt isn't on the same level as the s4 though I'm sure the fact there is a s on the trunk makes the parts cost like $200 more
11/25/2006 7:59:25 AM
Update!!Went and tried to shove the clubs in the TT, and was able to get them in, barley. Had to remove the clubs from the bag, and put it all in there separately, but they did fit. Was a freaking awesome car to drive to, love the Quattro. However, I met a guy in the parking lot getting his car appraised, and it happened to be a 2001 Porsche Boxster S. He let me drive it, and is basically gonna give it to me for NADA Trade in value $25,000 with 35k on the clock (I think I can even get him down a little too).Ah the choices! I was happy to just drive off in the Quattro, but man, that Porsche was an awesome ride. I hate to give up the AWD, but I may just have to for the deal this guy is giving me.Thoughts? The Audi was still less at $21,000, but its not as good a deal.
12/4/2006 4:42:27 PM
TT oil changes are less than Boxster for sure. The Boxster takes 12 quarts of Mobil 1.
12/4/2006 4:56:38 PM
you can get cheaper tires for the tt too
12/4/2006 5:03:52 PM
Yea, the Boxster has 18" wheels. I don't even want to think about buying those.Shouldn't have sold my tire coupon!
12/4/2006 5:20:20 PM
get the porsche, how many times in your life will you be in a position to own one.
12/4/2006 11:03:40 PM
get an older 911, it will appreciate while a boxster wont. you just want to put your clubs in the front dont you? haha
12/4/2006 11:05:47 PM
12/4/2006 11:19:52 PM
i have a 2005 audi a4 cabriolet and i enjoy it. the porsche is def gonna give you more get up and go performance, but i would advise you to go with quattro, but im def biased. and my services are paid for to 100,000 miles with the deal i worked out at the dealership
12/5/2006 1:00:07 AM
^^^I doubt he can afford a 911 that is less than 15-20 yrs old.^^???
12/5/2006 1:02:54 PM
Well, after all that, I end up getting the Porsche anyway. Guess I'm in the market for a subaru beater now as well... so if anyone's heard of one, let me know.now, ON TO THE GOOD STUFF.2001 Porsche Boxster S. 250HP 6 Speed. Only pictures that I have are the ones from the Asheville Craigslist. More and better pictures to follow. But here are a few.
12/7/2006 2:25:49 PM
I've driven a couple of Boxsters, but never an S. They are fun cars. More torquey than my S2000 which makes for a nice overall driving experience.
12/7/2006 2:35:29 PM
id say go with the older 911
12/7/2006 3:12:55 PM

12/8/2006 12:04:14 AM
didnt read itand im just not a big boxer fanbut im glad you got what you wanted
12/8/2006 12:07:28 AM
i will say that its the second least real porsche ever made, heres my listmost un-porsche porsches ever1: cayenne (no brainer)2: boxster (you gotta come stronger than that ferdinand)3: 944 (cmon you cant be serious)4: 928 (you put a what in a porsche?)5: 914 (old version of #2)the only three numbers that matter are 9 1 1(and whatever its sucessors are numbered)[Edited on December 8, 2006 at 12:15 AM. Reason : honestly i prefer aircooled 911s but whatever.]
12/8/2006 12:14:03 AM
I still want a 997. They aren't that expensive right now.
12/8/2006 12:31:53 AM
a lot of people can afford the porsche as a car, but maintenance is where you will pay the real price, especially if you are not DIY type. measly E36 M3 requires shit load of special tools, i cant even imagine how it is with newer german cars[Edited on December 8, 2006 at 12:47 AM. Reason : .]
12/8/2006 12:47:13 AM
I like 944 turbos, but I'm down with the 80's. They were so advance for their day... like having airbags in 1988 or whatever. They're at least as fast as a boxster S.Good call with this car man. It's gonna hold its value and be remembered much better than an Audi TT.
12/8/2006 1:11:29 AM
poor car was looking at 911s on ebay.
