Nigger is a word that has been used to demonize people. To make them less than human. Honky, raymond, etc have not been used in the same way. Gook is on the same level as nigger. Furthermore, whining about racism does draw more attention to it that way it can be confronted and destroyed. Likewise, I do not see how calling something racist is whining about it. No one is whining about racism. People are asking that others use their fucking head and learn some sense. Turning a bind eye however, only enboldens it.

^^Yeah, that's still just an iota of the population in the vast array of racial terms you use tho'. You left out blacks, asians, hispanics. I think you need to use those words around them, just to kinda get a grasp on their take of a caucasian making these words meaningless. I disagree. I contend that everyone is at least a little prejudiced, but not necessarily racist in the least. Discimination is where the line is drawn.

First of all, how many times have I used the entire racial slur sampler either in your presence or even directed at you (jokingly, of course)? Plenty. Do you think I'm a racist? I would hope not, and if you've ever heard or read anything I've said on the subject in a serious manner, you would know that there isn't even a case to be made for marking me as a racist.

Second, the First Amendment has nothing to do with TWW unless the government were to step in and try to police this website.

Finally, there is nothing in the posting guidelines that targets racially offensive posting any more so than any other sort of offensive posting. This leaves me, as a moderator, to go with my own sense of what is reasonable and right, guided by the "commanders' intent" of the owners of the website. My own feelings almost always lean to the laissez-faire approach, and judging by things that the owners have said (not specifically regarding race, just in guidance to moderators in general) and precedent they've set in dealing with other sorts of offensive subject matter on this website, I feel pretty confident in my earlier assertation that " it would have to be pretty extreme before I'd be in favor of getting restrictive in terms of moderation."

I don't turn a blind eye. If you want to post stalk me enough (and it hasn't all be lost in the purges), you can find a number of times when I've gone high and to the right on someone for spouting off racist attacks.

Making someone look like an imbecile in public for his ill-conceived and malignant views is much better than simply deleting posts or suspending him.
