arkansas wasnt ranked preseason were they?[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 9:56 PM. Reason : uga dropped off the map, a few others dropped into the teens]
11/6/2006 9:55:37 PM
everyone in this thread is using transitive properties to draw conclusions3k weeno but they were picked as an upset favorite over USC !! lol[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 10:10 PM. Reason : .]
11/6/2006 10:09:22 PM
arkansas wasnt picked preseason but they benefited from those preseason rankings by the "domino effect" i was talking about earlier. they beat auburn who was really high which made them get really high.if you sporatically placed wake bc vt gt and maryland in the top15 preseason polls where would they all be right now?
11/6/2006 11:02:20 PM
they are up there with arkansas are they not?edit/add: and arkansas will likely drop quite a bit if/when they lose to UT. UT is currently only a few spots away from GT/Wake and arguably VT/BC/Maryland. one game could shift them all around so i dont see why you are whining.[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 11:28 PM. 11/6/2006 11:26:23 PM
i am whining because you guys say the acc is in the shitter while the sec is eating steak and shrimp for snack
11/6/2006 11:29:51 PM
cyrion never said they were in the shitter. he said they were mediocre this year in comparison.
11/6/2006 11:32:27 PM
well sayign they are mediocre to the sec is not fair because its only because of rankings. swap the preseason rankings and its teh same thing reversed

ncsu and uva are different teams now. uva was breaking in a true freshman qb and ncsu had a different qb.
11/7/2006 9:50:16 AM
EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE...BOTH TEAMS ARE STILL SHITTY.....NCSU HAS WENT 2-4 WITH EVANS.....THATS NOT AVERAGE....UVA WOULD BE EVEN WORSE BUT THEY ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE THE OTHER 3 SHITTIER TEAMS ON THEIR SCHEDULE....SHUT UP YOU FAGGOT ACC HOMER....
11/7/2006 12:55:38 PM
The funny thing is the ACC hasn't won a BCS bowl game since '99. That was FSU over a now ACC Va Tech team. So in reality they haven't won a BCS bowl game over a non-ACC school since the '97 season, the BCS' first season. The prospects don't look to good this year either.. THAT is laughable. The team I hope breaks that streak is State next year.. not that I think it will happen.V It got derailed once again by the hcnimafuckingdouceguyen[Edited on November 7, 2006 at 1:11 PM. Reason : x]

we'll see what happens in the orange bowl. the only reason you guys think wake is bad is because they are wake. they have a good resume and are the most sound discipline team in the country.omg the (whatever region) was so weak because it made george fucking mason look good.[Edited on November 7, 2006 at 3:30 PM. DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SPORTS????? NOTHING YOU HAVE SAID MAKES SENSE

because they lost 3 starters.george mason was good last yearbeat uncbeat michigan statebeat uconnno other cinderella ever had such a ruseme. most cinderellas advance far by beating other cinderellas. not beating 3 of the best programs/coaches/teams in the nation.
11/7/2006 4:04:39 PM
NC State 1983 dumbfuck. They won it all despite being underdogs in almost every single game.Villanova in 1985 also won it all.You know nothing.
11/7/2006 4:05:43 PM
that was in the small tournament format. im talkign about since it expanded to 64
11/7/2006 4:15:47 PM
When State won in 1983 there were 52 teams dumbass.VILLANOVA WON THE 1985 NCAA TOURNAMENT AND THERE WERE 64 TEAMS YOU FUCKHEAD AND THEY WERE A FUCKING 8 SEED.YOU KNOW NOTHING.
11/7/2006 4:20:31 PM
i missed the part where this makes george mason a bad team
11/7/2006 4:27:25 PM
I guess you also missed the part where you were wrong. You said no Cinderella has ever done as well as George Mason.Don't backtrack now. Ill make a wager with you that George Mason doesn't make the NCAAs this year.

You are a fucking moron.Houston had Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler, two future NBA hall of famers.UConn had Rudy Gay and Rashad Anderson....see the difference? How can someone be as dumb as you?
11/7/2006 4:31:29 PM
how do you know 2 guys on uconn wont be hall of famers? uconn was much deeper also.
11/7/2006 4:33:55 PM
Okay you said where are UNC and Michigan State. When Villanova won it all in 1985 it beat #1 Michigan, the favorites to win it all, and UNC #2 seed in the Final Four. Please stop fucking yourself over and leave this board.

ok you guys pwnt me on college basketball hisotry but that still doesnt make wake a bad football team. not at all.
11/7/2006 4:40:29 PM
Of course not. What makes Wake a bad football team is the fact that they suck at football.
11/7/2006 5:41:37 PM
Ok, it's Gameday. Some tidbits I picked up on the radio on the way to work.- In 62 years no Top 10 team has defeated two undefeated teams in November. With a win tonight Louisville will do that.- Louisville, over the past 5 years, has offered to play a home and home (or a 2 and 1) with 10 different SEC schools. They all declined except for the UL natural rival Kentucky. (basically the SEC 1 loss teams can shove it up their ass after hearing that)- Rutgers has added 3,000 additional seats and more press credentials than have ever before been handed out for a NY, NJ, New England college football game.- Mike and the Maddog, the highest rated local sports talkshow in the nation will broadcase live today from the Rutgers stadium.- New York City has decided to light the Empire State Building 'Scarlet Red' for the game tonight.[Edited on November 9, 2006 at 11:53 AM. Stewart Mandel's College Football Mailbad had the first page dedicated to the UL questions:http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/stewart_mandel/11/08/cfb.mailbag/index.htmlAnd Pat Forde's Forde Yard Dash also addressed the situation:http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=2652451Basically the two are telling the SEC and the rest of the country to eat a big fucking dick. Mandel is a bit softer, but Forde sounds like he wants to go to Atlanta and shit all over the georiga dome while it's full of the bitching fans - i love it!!!Having said that, GO RUTGERS!!
11/9/2006 1:01:15 PM
hot damn, this will be good. and thank god that assholes stopped talking about basketball, wtf is that shit.
11/9/2006 1:02:38 PM
11/9/2006 1:03:11 PM
^i dont think we will drop the commitment. Most of the time the teams drop their commitment against us b/c they dont want to risk losing. IE notre dame, the pussies of ohio st etc
11/9/2006 1:46:27 PM
I think it's funny that 90% of the country plus nearly every major college football analyst associated with the 'old guard' wants Rutgers to win as if it was somehow make the Big East illegitamite again. That said,Go Cards. By 2 scores +.^ Louisville actually dropped us last year (or maybe 2 years ago) because of the schedule change craziness after the conference realignments.[Edited on November 9, 2006 at 1:53 PM. Reason : not b/c they were scared like some of my fellow State fans think]
11/9/2006 1:51:42 PM
I want Rutgers to win b/c when will they ever get this close to a BCS bid again? haha
11/9/2006 1:53:29 PM
11/9/2006 2:06:32 PM
I disagree, plain and simple. SEC, Big 10, and Big XII fans simply don't like the idea that a Big East team will play for a National Championship over one of their 1 lossers. Those are the three conferences I refer to as the 'Old Guard' of college football and it really pisses them off a relative newcomer might play over a UF, Auburn, Texas, or Ohio State/Michigan loser..ACC fans probably don't really care as much because there are no legitimate title contenders and it is a relatively new football superconference.V yes they are.. it's pretty much a certainty at this point.[Edited on November 9, 2006 at 2:35 PM. Reason : x]
11/9/2006 2:23:49 PM
I still disagree. Louisville wins out, they still ain't playing in the NC. Just won't happen.
11/9/2006 2:29:29 PM
^^ yup, hes 100% right, GO RUTGERS. The fucking Pac-10 even hurts, much less the Big Easy[Edited on November 9, 2006 at 2:29 PM. Reason : j]
11/9/2006 2:29:34 PM
Go Louisville, the offense is too good----i cant stand to see overrated texas go to the championship game
11/9/2006 4:27:06 PM
Louisville for the win..However a Rutgers win would really upset the BCS
11/9/2006 4:57:30 PM
Lets see I think i remember 57 points last yearLouisville wont even slip an inch...they win in a HUGE blowout, 30+ points and play in the NC.just hope Rutgers keeps it fairly close.
11/9/2006 6:08:13 PM
black people in NYC (and that one white guy too) are stupid
11/9/2006 6:37:46 PM
go state college of new jersey!!I for one see Rutgers as the feel good story of the season..and besides they wont be this good again..ever
11/9/2006 7:10:41 PM
If rutgers wins and OSU and Mich game is close, there is a pretty good chance the NC would be a rematch between the two of them right?frankly I'd much rather see that than Louisville V either team.
11/9/2006 7:15:43 PM
11/9/2006 7:20:53 PM
My final prediction...Louisville - 34Rutgers - 21
