^^^ fine, i rape children, you rape your siblingswhatever

^^ not at all... look, no one has to believe me, wasnt saying it to get attention or anything, just stating it to let you all know what is going to happen 2.5 months beforehand (baring Butch Davis stepping in). Rodriguez wont announce it until after the bowls so there is a pretty big window for Davis to step in, but if he doesnt... mark it.[Edited on October 30, 2006 at 8:43 PM. Reason : d]
10/30/2006 8:42:59 PM
Not gonna happen
10/30/2006 8:49:50 PM
I heard Rodriguez has the fifth highest salary in the Big East (out of 8 teams I believe?)...so this could very well be about getting a fatty raise.
10/30/2006 11:04:09 PM
Does WVU have the resources to double his salary at the drop of a hat (2 months)? WVU doesn't exactlys eem like the university who could come up with some quick cash for RR and his staff.
10/30/2006 11:32:10 PM
^^ and ^ bingo
10/30/2006 11:37:10 PM
did it for Jim, why cant they do it for Rich.the WVU alum would even put up the money to keep him around, especially now that they are #3 in the country.he wont leave.
10/31/2006 12:03:35 AM
bobby bowden did
10/31/2006 12:31:08 AM
Haha, more like Bobby Bowden was chased right out of Morgantown. I've heard stories about how the fans would hang him in effigy from a tree outside his kids windows at their house... he certainly didn't 'leave' on his own...
10/31/2006 12:34:15 AM
10/31/2006 7:13:22 AM
10/31/2006 7:27:21 AM
what about SKip Holtz?
10/31/2006 8:23:23 AM
Trust me, WVU can come up with the resources... it is a very good school with plenty of resources. What's more is that it is a football school with a good tradition. I cannot believe this thread still exists, but whatever. See NyM's comments = /thread
10/31/2006 9:30:53 AM
^exactly. WVU has the money. this shit is just laughable. RR isn't leaving the school he played at for fucking UNC. I would bet the house on it. He loves his school and they love him. He's got a good thing going at wvu. if he wasn't an alum, MAYBE I wouldn't be so sure, but he is. Money talks, but wvu will poney up. and whoever said this is like the rick barnes shit is right, except this is even funnier.
10/31/2006 10:52:51 AM
While I don't think that UNC will get Rodriguez, I do think that this time they will get someone that is good. That sucks too, b/c for all that Bunting can't do as a coach, he has done a good job as a recruiter and they do have a good young talent base in Chapel Hill (sounds like some other coach in this area). If they do get a good coach, we could be in trouble.
10/31/2006 10:56:51 AM
Could be in trouble?Dude Bunting already owns Chuck. Anyone better then Bunting, by the associative property of sports, is better then chuck.
10/31/2006 11:02:09 AM
10/31/2006 11:02:38 AM
^^Bunting is 3-3 against Chuck. That isn't "owned"[Edited on October 31, 2006 at 11:03 AM. Reason : .]

It's no more stupid than Miami which has only been legitimate in football in the last 20 years or so.
10/31/2006 4:09:30 PM
10/31/2006 4:10:47 PM
also, there is rumor that slaton and white will transfer as well to play their senior season at unc
10/31/2006 4:14:39 PM
see, thats just dumb. Look, this isnt some bullshit I am making up to get you all riled up, just wait and see, it will either be Davis or Rodriguez.
10/31/2006 4:16:24 PM
no there is not.^^God you people love to start some shit.[Edited on October 31, 2006 at 4:17 PM. Reason : f]
10/31/2006 4:17:44 PM
it won't be davis.
10/31/2006 4:21:53 PM
I'm willing to bet that neither davis or rodriguez go to unc. also, major harris is the man. oh, and marc bulger is a mountaineer. Jeff hostetler anyone?
10/31/2006 4:22:37 PM
^^ I agree... therefore....^ wow, yeah, cause those are both hall of famers, woo hoo[Edited on October 31, 2006 at 4:23 PM. Reason : d]
10/31/2006 4:22:45 PM
off the point, but I went to all the home games in 1988, the year they played notre dame in the fiesta bowl.^dude, you're fucking nuts to think RR is going to unc. give me one reason he'd leave for a shitty school that doesn't support their team. not to mention the dude fucking played there. wvu can poney up just as much money as unc.[Edited on October 31, 2006 at 4:26 PM. 10/31/2006 4:24:47 PM
hahahahahah...y'all are idiotshcnguyen is a moron, but he got you with that sarcasm above
10/31/2006 4:25:31 PM
^^ I am not saying that he is the "obvious" choice or that its not going to be weird... just saying to wait and see^ and everyone knew it was sarcasm, I was saying it was dumb because he was trying to lump my prediction in with his sorry attempt at sarcasm
10/31/2006 4:29:23 PM
I'm just trying to understand why you think that. there's a million other coaches that make more sense than him
10/31/2006 4:31:49 PM
inside info, but it will come down to a combination of $$, the draw of a bigger conference, and wanting more of a challenge
10/31/2006 4:32:58 PM
Mark it down: Phillip Fulmer to UNC.(see I can do it too)
10/31/2006 4:33:21 PM
This is so retarded. Everybody knows Spurrier will be at UNC next year.
10/31/2006 4:34:30 PM
^^ noooo, beacause your random selection ignores all the things I mentioned, so nice try dumbshit
10/31/2006 4:37:37 PM
I love the arrogance of the acc. have you noticed how bad that "bigger conference" is this year? and wvu will match whatever unc has to offer.
10/31/2006 4:39:18 PM
I am not speaking as a biased ACC person...but on average the ACC is a MUCH better conference than the Big East, its not even close
10/31/2006 4:40:36 PM
well, by your logic then, why didn't petrino leave louisville for LSU?
10/31/2006 4:42:26 PM
I didnt say that the logic applied to ALL coaches... just saying that for RR there is a strong drive to get to a bigger, tougher conference
10/31/2006 4:46:11 PM
oh, I take it you know the guy. I get it now...^if that was the case, do you really think unc is where he'd go? he's one of the most in-demand coaches out there. why the fuck would he go to unc of all places?[Edited on October 31, 2006 at 4:49 PM. Reason : .]
10/31/2006 4:47:56 PM
mainly the drive to take a program that has potential in a big time conference but hasnt quite done it yet...and dont turn this into a CAROLINA SUCKS! thing, I hate them as much as anyone, but I admit they have potential to be a big time program if all the pieces come together. He basically wants to be "the guy" to bring a program up, BUT do it in a major conference. [Edited on October 31, 2006 at 4:55 PM. Reason : d]
10/31/2006 4:54:46 PM
this is a mess, just like 'Nam
10/31/2006 4:58:59 PM
^^I agree with you 100% on that. but I don't see why he wants the challenge of coming in to a shitty program when he could go to any number of programs that already have the pieces in place. miami for instance. that's a good team with good players. UNC is deep in the shitter and it's going to take alot to pull em out. did I mention he's a wvu alum and has a good thing going there?[Edited on October 31, 2006 at 4:59 PM. Reason : .]
10/31/2006 4:59:09 PM
oh, and dont forget $$...just wait and see, wait and see.
10/31/2006 4:59:59 PM
I have a hard time believing that wvu won't give him whatever the fuck he wants
10/31/2006 5:01:36 PM
they won't be able to match carolina, just like we couldn't match texas in the rick barnes sweepstakes.
10/31/2006 5:07:12 PM
si.com has rodriguez and petrino mentioned in truths and rumors as potential successors to bobby bowden at fsu.http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/scorecard/10/31/truth.rumors.college/index.html
10/31/2006 5:14:48 PM
RRod pretty much laughed at the UNC job in his presser today. The ESPNU guys were laughing it up too asking how in the world do the delusional UNC fans think he will be going there..
10/31/2006 5:24:05 PM
10/31/2006 5:30:14 PM
You people severely underestimate how much $$$ can go a long way. Carolina has it. These coaches are just like free agents every year. If the price is right..
