granted garcia played great. but jake you could have won that so easily.
12/4/2006 11:57:45 PM
I hate delhomme.
12/4/2006 11:57:56 PM
Jake Gohomme
12/4/2006 11:58:48 PM
which leads me to another thingwhy is it that every new qb can throw all over the panthers?romo, campbell and now garcia (I know he's not "new", but he's not the usual starter?)this defense is NOT good
12/4/2006 11:58:51 PM
i dislike delhomme as much as the rest of you, but you have to fault johnson on that too. he should've finished his route, and he also jumped much too early. regardless, a pass there was stupid as shit, especially with delhomme. you're inside the 5 with 2 timeouts. run that shit in!
12/4/2006 11:59:12 PM
12/4/2006 11:59:25 PM
I've defended delhomme countless times on this board but it's time to go with someone else at this point, you just can't tolerate a player that is going to singlehandely give games away in the fourth quarter^^how can you blame johnson on that he ran the entire time until jake let the ball go about five feet too much and then he jumped all he could to get a hand on it[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 12:00 AM. 12/4/2006 11:59:52 PM
Beuerlein would have won it
12/4/2006 11:59:57 PM
There was no interference on that play. THere was contact from both players....its a no-call no matter how you look at it. It was a bad fucking pass, bad fucking play call, and a bad fucking quarterback who needs the boot.
12/5/2006 12:00:21 AM
or at least not have lost it
12/5/2006 12:00:27 AM
The Backup QB is always the most popular guy in town!Weinke was 1-15 in his year as a starter, he is NOT the answer. Plus he is already like 32.DRAFT BRIAN BROHM!!!!
12/5/2006 12:01:16 AM
we're not finishing low enough to draft Brady Quinn....who else besides Brohm is on the board???
12/5/2006 12:01:52 AM
i seem to remember the last time he was in him leading us to a victory5-5, but all 5 were to proehl
12/5/2006 12:02:14 AM
BRETT BASANEZ
12/5/2006 12:02:16 AM
^^yep, at detroit if i'm not mistaken.
12/5/2006 12:03:38 AM
i wish we could get a kurt warner type guy that could stretch the field like a mf with people like keyshawn and steve smith[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 12:04 AM. Reason : kurt warner when he first came to st. louis i mean]
12/5/2006 12:04:32 AM
see? steve young and michael irvin both agree with me. i'm a genius.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 12:07 AM. Reason : ]
12/5/2006 12:07:17 AM
atleast bench his ass .. see what chris can do w/ 2 bad ass receivers against the G men
12/5/2006 12:07:51 AM
I didnt notice it at first, he did get bumped at the goal line...and the LOS was the 7. No pass interference but you gotta make that bump call.
12/5/2006 12:08:36 AM
the contact didn't allow key to get a good jumpyou gotta call something
12/5/2006 12:09:50 AM
the time has come"It's the time he is throwing these PICKS''
12/5/2006 12:12:17 AM
wow, y'all are letting your homerism taint your vision. i'm a casual panthers fan, so i only have a slight favoritism for them. delhomme did throw a poor pass. however, keyshawn DID NOT finish his route and JUMPED EARLY. the bump at the line is LEGAL, keyshawn still should've and could've gotten to the outside. if he would've atleast finished his route, then the corner wouldn't have been able to make the pick at all. it's simple, kidslike i said, young and irvin just said the exact same thing i've been saying. they certainly know what they're talking about.BAD THROW, BAD PLAY ON THE BALL, AND HORRIBLE CALL BY THE O.C.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 12:15 AM. 12/5/2006 12:14:34 AM
explain to me real fast why the shove at the line is legal.
12/5/2006 12:15:13 AM
i dunno eitherit just is
12/5/2006 12:16:18 AM
he wasn't "shoved". keyshawn was bumped. that's legal. if you watch replays though, you'll see that keyshawn was trying to push off like crazy to get position. if a flag were to be thrown, it would've been on him.
12/5/2006 12:16:40 AM
he's about to cry
12/5/2006 12:17:30 AM
HOW IS A FADE IN THE END ZONE A BAD CALL?that is the most textbook call in football
12/5/2006 12:17:35 AM
If anyone thinks Del Homme is a good QB, what exactly constitutes a bad QB? Throwing the fade to a guy like Keyshawn Johnson should run like clockwork from a QB with all his chromosomes, there should never be an INT on a fade, even against pro bowl CB's, the design of the fade eliminates the chance of an INT. No interference either, don't look to the refs unless its blatant. That CB for Philly made a great play to push Key off his route so he couldn't jump towards the ball.
12/5/2006 12:17:51 AM
could jake look any more clueless at the presser?
12/5/2006 12:19:10 AM
because:a. it's delhommeb. it's delhommec. it's delhommed. 1st down inside the 5 with 2 timeouts, and delhomme is the qb.atleast run the ball once, maybe even twice.
12/5/2006 12:19:14 AM
it sucks cause i really like the guy, but he's just not a good quarterback. its kinda like chuck. i like chuck, but he just wasnt a good coach.
12/5/2006 12:20:09 AM
delhomme is a good qb. don't say crap like he isn't. i really don't like the guy at all, but i'm not going to say crazy shit like, "he isn't a good qb". he isn't a clutch qb.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 12:21 AM. Reason : ]
12/5/2006 12:20:54 AM
he was a superbowl QB .. just putting that out there
12/5/2006 12:21:07 AM
Jake Delhomme = Reggie BallWhere is this talent everyone screams about? all we see is average play followed a moneyshot of critical mistakes
12/5/2006 12:21:38 AM
he is a playoff qbonly you have to get to the playoffs 1st
12/5/2006 12:22:40 AM
is it true schaub is a free agent after this year? thats the answer for us right there
12/5/2006 12:22:54 AM
stephen davis and the D got us to the super bowlthat and moose
12/5/2006 12:23:07 AM
funny thing is, before i left, last thing i said was "wait til he starts throwing picks in the endzone"
12/5/2006 12:23:46 AM
thanks a lot then
12/5/2006 12:24:59 AM
schaub would be badass with the panthers. he is rivers-esque in accuracy, but i don't know anything about his personality. his stats at uva were about the same as rivers' at state. i don't think schaub is as clutch though, and i don't know how he is when trailing.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 12:26 AM. Reason : ]
12/5/2006 12:25:02 AM
schaub would be a godsend
12/5/2006 12:25:27 AM
I've wanted Jake gone since the year after the SB run. He just isn't the QB that can lead our passing attack. When we went we were a rushing team and he could manage enough, but since Davis' injury and he stopped playing a lot, we've become pretty much a passing team with 2 great WR's and no #1 RB.Jake should be out unless he right's the ship and can get us to the promised land. But I don't think we need to draft one, we need to look at free agents. I don't think we have the youth to wait on a young QB to develope.
12/5/2006 12:26:17 AM
we had a running attack that opened up steve smithwhat do we have now?come on man
12/5/2006 12:27:21 AM
can we trick someone into taking delhomme in a trade? You give us those beads, we will give you jake delhomme.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 12:28 AM. Reason : sdf]
12/5/2006 12:28:18 AM
uhhh, the key to that sb run was davis and the Dthat opened things up for the pass game
12/5/2006 12:29:09 AM
Delhomme for Rivers, straight up. SD can throw in LT if they want.
12/5/2006 12:48:28 AM
and if they REALLY wantmerriman as well
12/5/2006 12:48:49 AM
we can throw in Keyshawn and they can send Antonio Gates too[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 12:49 AM. Reason : ]
12/5/2006 12:49:26 AM
Id keep Keyshawn, personally
