HOW THE FUCK COULD I FORGETWHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS
10/24/2006 11:49:01 AM
^ I was just about to say that. Someone told me they recorded those drums in a stairwell to get that sound.
10/24/2006 12:14:09 PM
That's a common misconception. They actually used a stairwell modeling plugin in ProTools.
10/24/2006 12:50:25 PM
Walking on the Moon by Police is pretty great on the drums. Gotta love Stewart Copeland.
10/24/2006 12:55:51 PM
^^ im going to assume you're being sarcastic. They didnt have protools in 1971
10/24/2006 1:14:09 PM
there aren't enough rolly eyes in the world. . . .
10/24/2006 1:15:07 PM
^^ Maybe you didn't, but Bonzo had that shit on a half dozen daisy-chained INIACs.
10/24/2006 1:21:03 PM
ahahah ok i laughed my ass off at the guy who didn't get jon's commentthen i laughed even harder at the INIAC referencemy vote goes for the drum part of Edgar Winter's Frankenstein
10/24/2006 1:27:49 PM
gg on the Stewart Copeland, it has taken me years to finally appreciate how good that band was. Sting's just fucked up their legacy for too long now by continuously putting out shit.
10/24/2006 2:38:26 PM
the answer is: ¨who is Danny Carey in 46&2?¨ and i dont know anything about, nor can i play, the drums...but i know what it sounds like when a kit gets completely fucking owned...this an opinion thread, that means NO right or wrong answers....so i win.
10/24/2006 4:50:34 PM
Captain Rich is super smrt u guys.
10/24/2006 4:53:00 PM
first, sting didn't put out shit. you take that back.second, danny carey gets on my nerves. i mean i guess it's impressive that the dude can play in 194/127 time signature but it gets a little old. plus his drums often sound like a large man smacking his own belly.Tommy Lee did some incredible work with motley crue, especially on Dr. Feelgood.
10/24/2006 6:49:44 PM
Despite Slipknot being a shitty band, I do enjoy the drums in "(Sic)" a lot

Axlbonbach, if you are a true m-sludge fan (guessing), then you could only respect Sting for his marathon love making abilities. And i respect you for respecting that. Respect.
