my dad got that car.....but as its been said already, it takes a little bit of configuring before you can parallel park, its not just 'press a button'.id still be wary of trusting any computer/machine to 'think' enough to not damage other cars.its more or less just a clever novelty.

That car's the buick of its class.

Something doesn't look quite right about the IS-F's hoodline. I guess it had to be further domed than the IS250/350 to accept the bigger engine? Makes the side profile look a little odd. Good-looking vehicle otherwise...

ahahaha, yeah it does have quite a dome-piece! the problem is, instead of gently sloping in a constant curve from front window to grill, it comes out straight, and then at the end, drastically slopes down, and then it makes an elongated bumper... (see side profile on previous page, and compare it with side profile of M3 in the M3 thread). don't know, guess it is the engine.in fact, it looks even odder in this picture below (slightly turned to front) as opposed to in the side profile:[Edited on March 8, 2007 at 2:13 AM. it parallel parks itself, however, it does not un-parallel park itself. Therefore, the feature seems pretty useless to me. If you can't get into the spot by yourself, how are u supposed to get out by urself.

getting out is magnitudes of order easier than getting in.and btw, for those of you blasting the car for how worthless the feature is because it takes forever, guys, this is new tehcnology, and it has to start somewhere.newer generation of this technology will obviously be more and more useful.you guys back in 1880 would have been like:LOLOLOZ that new invention is useless!!! we can walk faster than it... what the use??!!!

I think it brings the question of who's at fault when the accident happens. I'm sure somebody will use the 'it's the car's fault' excuse to get out of a hit and run or something. Personally, I feel this is a horrible idea, just like CVT transmissions....they both put more empahsis on the machine controlling whats going on versus the driver. (CVT transmissions are bad IMO because they create an even larger dissonance between what the car is doing and what the driver thinks the car is doing.Nissan....Lexus....why can't you just offer people some 'Accelerated Driving Experience' where people are tricked into improving their driving skills while testing out new vehicles. Sounds like easy sales to me.
