I think steven jackson is a good open field running back, but im sorry, the rams have 1 rushing TD this year.

Their kicker has 61 pts this year vs. the team total of 111

Until their/his running game can put it in the endzone, he wont be a top RB

The Colts sure as hell do.

How many SBs would the Pats have if Viniteiri wasn't their kicker all those years?

^^^ I happen to think that several other kickers could've nailed those kicks, you don't seriously think that Vinaigrette is the only guy to ever make a big FG as time expires, do you?

oops, I thought this thread was about this year.

OH WAIT, IT IS.

in which case Kw2 has done a hell of alot more than Gonz.

[Edited on October 10, 2006 at 7:30 PM. Reason : ok, maybe not a hell of a lot, but Gonz has done jack shit]

[Edited on October 10, 2006 at 7:33 PM. Reason : winslow is in the top 3 TEs in yards receiving and has 2 TDs]

ah, i missed the part about the "this year" restriction. i was just making my list based on the past couple of years. it's too early to make this kind of list after just 4 or 5 games.

Anybody other than Tom Brady at #1 QB is insane. Unless you don't want to win a Superbowl. Wait.....is that the goal here?

psssh! you can put a handful of the better qb's in the league on the patriots' sb teams, and they'd win.

Yeah, if I want to win a superbowl I will take:

1. Tom Brady
2. Ben Roethlesberger
3. Brad Johnson
4. Trent Dilfer
5. Kurt Warner
6. Brett Favre

Those are the top 6 QB's in the leauge based on the most important stat.

ok heres my criteria for picking qbs

1. clutch performance, playoffs and superbowl
2. decision making ability
3. throwing ability
4. scrambling ability
5. makes his team better

so peyton would score like this

1. D-
2. A+
3. B
4. C
5. B-

so he's not very good after all
on the other hand Tom Brady

1. A+
2. B+
3. B
4. B
5. A

so its not even close

i think tom brady is good, i just dont think he's quite the god the analysts make him out to be. those patriot teams were so solid that pretty much anybody coulda been their qb and they would still win.

More like

Manning:
1. C+
2. A+
3. A+
4. C
5. A+
Brady:
1. A
2. A-
3. A-
4. C+
5. A

whoa, peyton makes his team more better than tom brady? not even close. tom gets the most out of his team, peyton is out there just running his own show but he's good enough to get away with it.

this guy summed it up best.

lets put it this way:
2004 Patriots without Brady: Wild card at least.
2004 Colts without Manning: 1st overall pick.

whoa thats a bit exagerated, colts had a very good team, harrison, edgrin, freeney, vander, i could go on and on...

but all that counts is

first game of their season
Sept. 9 at New England Patriots 27; Colts 24

and last game of their season
Jan. 16 at New England Patriots 20; Colts 3

WTF? Peyton Manning doesn't make his team better? Or he is a B passer?

What planet are you from? Ever heard of Brandon Stokley before Manning came along?

I mean really. Edge hasn't done as much for Arizona, because they don't have a QB who can call the proper plays or provide enough passing game for him to flourish.

There is no way that Ray Lewis deserves to be on any top 5 linebackers list. He isn't even the best linebacker on his own team. Any Ravens fan can tell you that.

And Zach Thomas? What in the goddamn fuck? He's been terrible this year.

Bulger was damn good at the time, then fell off faster than I've ever seen.

I don't remember 2006 but I think Carr got off to a decent start. That looks like the only one that I have no idea why I ranked him there.
