You should have to pass a test on ncsu football before the season even begins to make you eligble for student tickets. I guarantee you 75% of the people would fail the test even if it were easy questions about the current football team or recent players, i.e. Philip Rivers.1. What number was philip rivers? Gurantee you there are many people in that stadium sat night that couldn't answer that without looking up at his jersey.........
9/26/2006 3:01:32 PM
i couldn't. big deal. and i went to plenty of games he played in. it's been years though. stop living in the past.
9/26/2006 3:03:17 PM
you can't remember the number of one of the greatest qbs to ever step foot on that field. it's not like it was decades ago. Hell his last year was 2003......and not too mention hes number 17 on the chargers now....
9/26/2006 3:04:27 PM
I'm not reading this whole damn thread because it's only recycle from the ones before it, and I've already read over 100 pages like it...that said, there needs to be some things cleared up...
9/26/2006 3:04:57 PM
^^so i shouldn't be able to go to games? that's really a stupid idea.let's have poll tests while we're at it. there are no downsides to that either.[Edited on September 26, 2006 at 3:06 PM. Reason : ^^]
9/26/2006 3:05:28 PM
no you should have to sit home and listen to the game or watch it on tv........you're a grad student and you can't remember rivers #, that makes it even worse.......
9/26/2006 3:06:34 PM
YOU'RE SUCH A BETTER FAN THAN ME.
9/26/2006 3:09:44 PM
apparently........how long have you been a ncsu fan? I am guessing you were elsewhere for undergrad?
9/26/2006 3:11:35 PM
you like to make a lot of assumptions, don't you?[Edited on September 26, 2006 at 3:12 PM. Reason : this is my seventh year here. and my dad is an alum. my first game was at age 7.]
9/26/2006 3:12:24 PM
umm no thats why there are ? instead of . behind my statements
9/26/2006 3:13:05 PM
this is a really retarded point you're trying to make here.i don't remember a FORMER player's number, so i shouldn't be able to go to games. THAT MAKES PERFECT SENSE.
9/26/2006 3:14:12 PM
i wasnt here for the old system, but i do see how swpc gives out hard tickets with assigned seats for the football games and it works perfectly. we should do the same
9/26/2006 3:16:31 PM
no my point was that people who don't know shit about football and that just realized the week before the game that we even have a football game at home shouldn't have a right to go to the game. There are students that would nearly kill to get tickets but instead dumbass people who think its a social event take up all the tickets.
9/26/2006 3:17:20 PM
that is a pretty stupid statement"hey you can't get tickets unless you know how many yards Ted Brown rushed for in his junior year"
9/26/2006 3:18:48 PM
9/26/2006 3:20:18 PM
9/26/2006 3:20:38 PM
^^i'd like to have 10% of our stadium full too^god forbid i have more important things to remember.[Edited on September 26, 2006 at 3:21 PM. Reason : .]
9/26/2006 3:20:51 PM
okay let me rephrase this, there are people who don't know anything about football, the game, or who don't care about it either and still go just b/c its the cool thing to do. or maybe they get a ticket and pass out in the parking lot or just don't go to the game.Do you think they should be able to get tickets?
9/26/2006 3:22:51 PM
you gotta start somewhere... so yes, they should be allowed to go even if they have no football knowledge... but if they go and don't cheer and are more concerned about other things, then no, they shouldn't be allowed to go...problem is, there is no way in hell to police that scenario
9/26/2006 3:24:38 PM
Who wore jersey #11 in 1998?
9/26/2006 3:24:59 PM
lemme think, barnett was #4holt was #81spikes??and thats not recent or current......
9/26/2006 3:29:55 PM
I think the point is taht Phillip Rivers has only been gone for 3 years, and he's the greatest fucking player...especially the greatest quarterback to play for NC State, and his number is retired with the likes of other greats that played here. You should know that Phillip Rivers wore number 17 if you're an NC State fan. Not knowing that just means you dont pay fucking attention. I would understand if he played in the 80's and you're a freshman, but 3 years ago??? come on.
9/26/2006 3:30:44 PM
finally i have some support in that dumbasses shouldn't be allowed to go to games
9/26/2006 3:31:40 PM
so does anyone remember either of the players I listed above without looking up stats, prolly not. and they were two pretty good players back in the day. well holt just made barnette look good.
9/26/2006 3:32:28 PM
this really has no bearing on my threadi want to talk about hard tickets, wristbands, stamps, cops, urine and standing in lines
9/26/2006 3:32:42 PM
so who wore #11 in 1998 smarty?
9/26/2006 3:33:22 PM
^you got a dumbass (wolfaapack) to agree with you. congratulations.i'm the dumbass for being in grad school and having more important things to do than remember jersey numbers of former players.
9/26/2006 3:34:39 PM
okay you would never get a ticket.......
9/26/2006 3:35:54 PM
9/26/2006 3:37:52 PM
hehI am certianly a dumbass. Just ask me.oh yeah...
9/26/2006 3:39:37 PM
page 2 is normal sized
9/26/2006 3:40:57 PM
sarijoul, who did we beat in the meineke car care bowl on new years eve last year? what was the score?no looking on yahoo eitherbetter question, were you there?[Edited on September 26, 2006 at 3:42 PM. Reason : stfu]
9/26/2006 3:40:59 PM
when you walk in the stadium you should be given a bag. in that bag will be another bag. with another bag in it. one to urinate in, and one to throw-up in, and an extra just incase. section 7 and 8 should be completly closed off, and nobody should be allowed to sit in them. problems solved.
9/26/2006 3:42:10 PM
^^i was there. it was south florida.us a lot. them: nothing
9/26/2006 3:42:55 PM
^nice, that would solve it
9/26/2006 3:43:23 PM
14 /= a lot
9/26/2006 3:44:06 PM
last time i check a lot is not 14 ptsdamn wolfpack, you beat me to it, haha[Edited on September 26, 2006 at 3:44 PM. Reason : .]
9/26/2006 3:44:10 PM
eh. whatever. i'll be the first to admit i don't have a great memory for these sorts of things. thus: i shoudln't be able to go to games, according to you two.
9/26/2006 3:45:03 PM
for the record this argument is stupid cause its never gonna happen. I just wanted to point out the stupidity of someone who claims to be an NC State fan that doesnt know what number Rivers wore 3 years ago...and is still wearing in the NFL right now.
9/26/2006 3:45:21 PM
YOU'RE SUCH BETTER FANS THAN ME.
9/26/2006 3:46:06 PM
they could start by actually monitoring who can request tickets.
9/26/2006 3:46:15 PM
thats my point exactly........i wasnt being serious about a test..........
9/26/2006 3:46:34 PM
i don't think Marcus Stone is capable of putting up a LOT of pointshe was lucky to put up 14 against a bowl team
9/26/2006 3:46:40 PM
^^^^no you're just an idiot[Edited on September 26, 2006 at 3:47 PM. Reason : ]
9/26/2006 3:46:53 PM
i thought they were implementing a diff system this year like if you went to some of the less popular games, you would have a greater chance of getting tickets to the bigger games
9/26/2006 3:47:19 PM
well I have to work now too bad I am not in grad school like some people where i can bs on a message board about how much of a fan I am.
9/26/2006 3:48:48 PM
have fun with that chief.
9/26/2006 3:49:25 PM
man im glad i graduated and don't have to deal with that crapI only have to pay $10,000 for tickets!
9/26/2006 3:51:19 PM
thank god i don't have to go to the student section
9/26/2006 3:58:10 PM
If seating is still general admission by section, then overcrowding won't be solved by forcing students to pick up a real ticket at renoylds. If you have 2 tickets in the same section, then you can just go up and down between the section bringing in however many friends you want. Also if you have section 8, then you can just walk down the row to section 6.
