Lucky Number Slevin was alright, but how the fuck would it take the top spot on any list?

The Proposition was a wicked good movie[Edited on September 24, 2006 at 2:12 PM. Reason : .]

9/24/2006 6:07:08 PM
happens to the best of us... but yeah, check that one out
9/24/2006 6:20:56 PM
I haven't seen that many this year but as of now, 1. Thank You for SmokingI haven't seen enough other movies this year to add any more to my list.I hope Thank You doesn't get snubbed at Oscar time, but I'm sure it will.
9/24/2006 7:31:36 PM
NEW LIST OMG.1. The Science of Sleep.2. Brick.3. The Puffy Chair.4. Inside Man.5. Dave Chappelle's Block Party.6. The Proposition.7. Half Nelson.8. Hard Candy.9. Bubble.10. 10/13/2006 11:55:40 PM
^Yeah, my list is going to change soon... half nelson is probably going to have to be in my list too... the departed may too...I liked Science of Sleep a lot, but I don't think it will break my top 10.Either watching Jesus Camp or This Film Has Not Yet Been Rated tomorrow.heard anything? Looking forward to both...
10/14/2006 1:08:56 AM
Unfortunately, I haven't seen Jesus Camp yet (didn't get the print in time to screen it. I have seen Not Yet Rated, and it was all right. It would have been a lot better if the director hadn't mentioned everything that happens in the entire movie in his interview on Fresh Air last week. I really want to see Jesus Camp, though.
10/14/2006 1:40:44 AM
Whats up with that Galaxy/Consolidated hook up/trade?I spend way too much money at the galaxy for someone who manages a movie theater.
10/14/2006 1:48:40 AM
I am not now, nor have I ever been, a communist!
10/14/2006 1:57:22 AM
haha, fair enough
10/14/2006 2:04:13 AM
BORAT ISN'T ON ANYONES LIST?!
10/14/2006 9:30:10 AM
it might be because no one has seen it yet. but i dunno. it's probably a j00 conspiracy now that you mention it.
10/14/2006 9:48:25 AM
there havnt been 3 good movies all year , how the fuck are you supposed to name 10.I really didnt think " thank you for smoking" was a good movie at all. It was like a poorly done "Lord of War" with worse lead acting, less humor, and cigs instead of bullets.[Edited on October 14, 2006 at 10:03 AM. Reason : but thats just me, perhaps people being assholes on purpose doesnt entertain me]
10/14/2006 10:02:15 AM
^^ no need to see it to know it will be an instant classic
10/14/2006 10:46:43 AM
Still have Borat, The Fountain, Jesus Camp, Last King of Scotland, and Babel to look forward to. Not to mention I proabably missed every decent movie that came out before July.1.Science of Sleep2.Iron Island3.Half Nelson4.United 935.The Departed6.Little Miss Sunshine7.X3

Shortbus and Marie Antoinette get Honorable Mention in my list.
12/11/2006 4:22:35 PM
My list will likely change some when Children of Men comes out- I've heard nothing but good things.I wonder if there's any possible way of seeing Pan's Labyrinth before next year, too- it looks amazing.[Edited on December 11, 2006 at 4:51 PM. Reason : .]
12/11/2006 4:48:35 PM
The past month has totally shaken up my list.I need some time to process things.
12/11/2006 4:53:51 PM
The Fountain, and Superman Returns. (thats about all I can think of for 2006)I also thought The Prestige was pretty neat.[Edited on December 11, 2006 at 6:56 PM. Reason : Haven't seen The Departed]

12/31/2006 7:28:55 PM
Requiem is playing at Galaxy right now (probably just for one week, though, until Thursday). I think you'd really like it. We're getting Pan's Labyrinth on the 19th. I think Perfume is opening mainstream (wtf, it's Tykwer) in about a month.I'll have my final list once I've seen Pan's Labyrith and Children of Men.
12/31/2006 7:49:35 PM
Nobody like The Departed? If i wasn't so lazy and wanted to make a list it would make top 5 easily^^didn't see that first time around[Edited on December 31, 2006 at 8:06 PM. Reason : a]
12/31/2006 8:04:22 PM
^....that was on my list...and only on the bottom because it was in ABC order (yes, i know it should have been in the D's and not T's ...)

1/2/2007 10:50:45 AM
