I have no problem with using warfare. al Qaida, et al have shown a remarkable talent for exploiting every opportunity and have proven that they will not be stopped until they are unquestionably defeated, not just pushed back or held in check. However, if warfare is going to be used, it should be executed so as to secure victory in the shortest period of time. I believe we're sorely lacking here; we could and should be much more aggressive. If you're gonna play, play to win.

What game, I wonder, are we playing at all?

That's the game I'm more curious about than which party is going to win the right to lie to us some more by lying to people a lot just before election day.
