There is no remainder in the mathematics of infinity.

^^ Exactly.The concept of 1 isn't a law, but an abstraction.The concept of 1.5 isn't a law, but an abstraction.The concept of 2 isn't a law, but an abstraction.The abstractions are infinite, even if our concepts aren't.

I think Mr. Joshua won this thread with the 2nd post on page 1

I think threads can't be won.

Or is there just a finite number of threads that can be won!?!?!

I guess we just haven't been able to find all of pi's digits then...
9/14/2006 6:27:40 PM
No way, man. Cuz like, this guy found a pattern in Pi and it fucked up his computer. Didnja see tha movie?

lol google search "finite set of numbers" and this comes up. i thought that was lolable.check this site out you might be able to open your mind to what im explaining herehttp://www.c3.lanl.gov/mega-math/workbk/infinity/inbkgd.htmlinfinity is for children[Edited on October 2, 2006 at 1:56 AM. Reason : are you children?]

But mathematicians have already imagined infinity so it exists.

Fine, lets end the threat:Assume there is a finite set of numbers, E. E contains a highest number, q. Now add 1 to q, creating the number q + 1. Since q + 1 > q, and q is the highest number in E, then q + 1 is not in set E. Therefore E does not contain all numbers and the original statement is false. We can conclude this is NOT a finite set of numbers.[/thread]
