I tried it on Delta....it was $158....then all the taxes and fees made it $178.
One good thing about a few of these hostels is that they have airport shuttles. When I took a cab from LGA to the Washington Square Park area last spring it was about $25 (before tip).

^^ $158 total to LGA. The price went up and down by $20 or so every few days, you just have to stay on top of it. Evening flight out on Wednesday and late morning flight back on Sunday.
