never in my life have I heard a coach that ducks questions, and brings up assanine excuses like chuckjust watch tressel, or coker, or some of the other major program coaches, they give canned speaches that basically say we didn't get it done, the other team played great, every kid is upset in that locker room, we as coaches did not do our job, and we are going to do everything in our power to get it done next week.its like bull durham where crash starts his lesson on the media, just thank the lord, your teamates, etc.there is a way to handle the media, and chuck is not well versed in it, is he more interesting for the writers, probably, is his conduct good for the university....definately not

and if you are going to blame himhave your facts straight and don't blame him for not taking the blame when he clearly said he was to blame.^I can't really blame chuck for that. There has always been and advesarial role between him and the media especially Chip alexander.[Edited on September 12, 2006 at 11:36 AM. Reason : .]
9/12/2006 11:35:21 AM
No one is blaming players. Everyone and their brother and little sister is blaming Amato.
9/12/2006 11:35:24 AM
chuck did admit he didn't do his job. if you listened to the post-game interview, he blamed himself entirely for the loss. he took personal responsibility for the excessive celebration penalty, among other things. that's the one thing he did right about all this.
9/12/2006 11:35:39 AM
so when does the blame get something done?and why are we paying someone who admits to NOT DOING THEIR JOBif i dont do my job I GET FIREDif i wasnt the boss of course[Edited on September 12, 2006 at 11:37 AM. Reason : .]

but then somehow HAD to bring up partial qualifiers. hes always talking about "the facilities" and all that shit. i dont care what the fuck we practice on as long as we can beat akron.
9/12/2006 11:37:47 AM
yes i want him fired[Edited on September 12, 2006 at 11:38 AM. Reason : .]

9/12/2006 11:38:19 AM
i'm staying out of this discussionbecause if I voice my opinion about Chuck, people will consider me as a hypocrite for defending Herb so much
9/12/2006 11:40:44 AM
whatever man, i dont know why you cant take chucks dick outta yer mouth because he is the one who fucking blows. in the three years ive been here havent seen a bit of progress. he rode the coattails of a great quarterback and now hes got nothing to show for it.
9/12/2006 11:40:51 AM
smacker......i was not saying he did not take blame, i was simply giving a blueprint for how to answer those fucking questionswithout, being short with the person asking the question, blaming some NCAA/conference rule, and generally trying to argue with the mediachuck could use about 10 years of classes on media relations, he simply sucks at it, fact is the way chuck deals with the media negatively effects our university's public image

way to shift the focus from my comment there, amato
9/12/2006 11:56:19 AM
I'm with Mr. Grace, except I've wanted him fired for 4 years. I was an Amato fan...at first. I also liked Herb.
9/12/2006 11:58:55 AM
Jasonchuck is a fucking douche of a coach.I don't know why you're even bothering.
9/12/2006 12:04:23 PM
^^so you wanted him fired during the Gator Bowl year?
9/12/2006 12:11:47 PM
i am so sick of Chuck's attitude. he thinks everything is perfectly fine with our football program and constantly tries to defend his shitty coaching and ridiculous losses to lower tier programs. why cant he just man up and admit that we just are no where near where we need to be as an ACC football team.i hate that asshole.fire his mediocre ass
9/12/2006 12:22:53 PM
9/12/2006 12:30:48 PM

9/12/2006 12:46:26 PM
9/12/2006 12:50:52 PM
no, thats stupid. but it would be nice to be competing for it and the acc title by, say, year 7.with the investments put into the program, we need more of a return.
9/12/2006 12:51:27 PM
^ I agree.but it's still too early to talk about firing.
9/12/2006 12:55:38 PM
9/12/2006 1:29:17 PM
I can't even get worked up about anything this school does anymore. We hired a basketball coach whose only head coaching experience can be noted as "fucking terrible" (BUT HE LOVES STATE!) and I'm sure if we fired Amato we'd go and try to pickup one of the Coordinators of notnotableinanything U.
9/12/2006 1:33:05 PM
wow just wow
9/12/2006 1:33:12 PM
^^ hey, you better leave Sidney alone! he's gonna take us to an ACC championship within 3 seasons. mark my wordz
9/12/2006 1:36:07 PM
I think it just kills you to have a black coach. I say this because you are a TKE.
9/12/2006 1:37:20 PM
nah, that's honestly not iti enjoy the company of black peoplei was friends with your flag football QB from around the 2000/2001 time
9/12/2006 1:38:55 PM
some of yall cried because we couldn't keep our mediocre ass basketball coachbut now you're at the front of the line yelling for a mediocre football coach to be fired... esp when he went to school here, and has caused tremendous amounts of improvements to the program

9/12/2006 1:50:18 PM
Chuck is caught between a Stone and a hard placehardy har har
9/12/2006 2:00:00 PM
9/12/2006 2:44:42 PM
no he didn't. we went to the gator bowl in '47, '92, and '03no idea who the coach was in '47, but it was not o'cain.dick sheridan was the coach in '92.
9/12/2006 3:03:17 PM
^^Please tell me you're joking..^ 1947 was Beattie Feathers
9/12/2006 3:04:47 PM
i was wrong- it happens, even to mebut we did beat a #1 team with him
9/12/2006 3:42:28 PM
yeah, we need to give amato a lifetime contract so we can go to the car care bowl every year until the bowl goes bankrupt. gotta take care of the alumni if you think we should give him carte blanche simply b/c he "built the facilities" and won a gator bowl, you have incredibly low expectations, much like the people who were cool w/ herb losing in the 2nd round every year.[Edited on September 12, 2006 at 3:48 PM. Reason : .]
9/12/2006 3:46:55 PM
^^ not under O'Cain we didn't. FSU was #2 when we beat them in 1998.[Edited on September 12, 2006 at 3:47 PM. Reason : ^]
9/12/2006 3:47:01 PM
9/12/2006 3:49:32 PM
^ I don't know if I trust that source. Everything I've ever read and remember (I was at the game) had FSU at #2. Maybe they were #1 in one poll, but definitely not a consensus #1.
