Yeah, Drew Carey is a fantastic improviser. Top notch, one of the best. Just one more reminder, the show is tomorrow night at 7 PM in Stewart Theatre!

I'd like to also mention that a much larger number of funny sketches on SNL, Kids in the Hall, and SCTV were, in fact, void of anything incredibly raunchy. If you think you have to say "fucking suck my cock, bitch" to be funny in a scene, you're really pretty simple minded.

Well the guys who are on stage doing a national tour were raunchy & make a great living...that's odd.And did you seriously say "served"?Christ, the only thing I'm saying is I saw a "family friendly" improv show a few years back with kids about the same age as these & it was horrible. So much potential wasted because they couldn't make references to sex, race, or make any good insults.STFU & GTFO

Yall should check out Second City who will be in Stewart on the 22nd @ 8:00pm. Its going to be a great show. Its only $5 for students, there is a story on the home page about it.

Yeah, the Second City show will be absolutely ridiculous.

I didn't read the entire thread. Is it an adult thing or a wholesome family thing?

It's comedy that doesn't use curse words or make dick jokes. However, that doesn't immediately mean that it's comedy for seven year olds. It's just not profane.

i suggest that mildew sticks to watching carlos mencia make 143437072345 jokes per show about beaners and stops trying to act like he knows what makes good comedy.^and really, its only b/c we want to do a show for everyone. so everyone, show up![Edited on September 13, 2006 at 1:01 PM. Reason : .]

I had a good time. There were some denial problems in the first half, but everyone worked around them (and the inevitable racy suggestions) well. PinkandBlack killed in a few games, in particular showing some good restraint in "Columns" by letting the scene run while holding a sure edit line. It was pretty good for a CSz* show.* I say this as someone who is not a fan of the ComedySportz/ComedyWorx format. There's nothing wrong with it per se, I just don't prefer it for a number of reasons.
