I am pulling for the Tigers now b/c I think I would rather face them than the Yankees. I wonder how the A's will work the rotation for the ALCS?

I'd go Zito, Harden, Loaiza, and Haren. I know Harden in 2 is a stretch but I think he's pretty poised for his age. It's going to be nice to have Blanton for some middle relief.

The Detroit bandwagon has started.Let's go A's

I know this is probably stupid, but I think the A's beat Verlander tonight. Something low scoring.

I think the A's are in deep trouble right now

A's need a big contribution from Rich Harden. The guy has potential to be almost as dominant as Santana. They get that - they stand a good chance to make the WS.They may move him up to Game 3. Taking a gamble on him could pay off and turn the series around in a jiffy. If they are down 0-2 by then I definitely think thats what they will do.

Here's how I see it right now:A's and everyone else were pretty much counting on Zito winning twice after his performance against the twins. But the Tigers have now proven they can hit not only mediocre Yankees pitchers, but they can also hit one of, if not the best, pitcher in the ALCS.Game 2: Loaiza tonight, who is really not all that great, and certainly not on the same level as Verlander. Loaiza will probably get hit tonight, and maybe get rocked. I'm giving this game to the Tigers.Game 3: If it's Harden, there is a possibility he will be the shut down pitcher he has the potential to be, but there is also a strong possibility that he won't be ready. On the other side, the Gambler absolutely owns the A's, and pitches against them better than any other pitcher in the game. He doesn't, of course, have a good postseason history, aside from his performance against the Yankees. This game could go either way.Game 4: Haren/Bonderman. This game could also go either way.Game 5: At this point, given yesterday's game, this game could go either way too.Game 6: Once again, I don't like Loaiza, but just for arguments sake lets say it's up in the air just to get to game 7...Game 7: Not only is Rogers historically the best active pitcher against the A's, but he's even better when playing in Oakland.Basically, I don't think its OVER for the Athletics, but the Tigers are definitely favored to win a couple of the upcoming matchups, and I don'y really think the A's are any more. They really have their work cut out for them IMO[Edited on October 11, 2006 at 12:45 PM. Reason : sp][Edited on October 11, 2006 at 12:45 PM. Reason : a]

i noticed that both games tonight are shown on fox at the same time. Does that mean that the A's game will be shown in the West and the Mets game will be shown in the East. If so that sucksGO A's

I won the OAK world series lottery. Oh well... Tigers will probably beat the Mets in 6 or 7.. that's my guess (if we make it of course)
