if they are a student, and you aren't going

you should give them the ticket.

you may not be a doucebag automatically

but if you don't have any friends who you could give your unwanted ticket to, you slip into the douchebag category by default

I always thought of the student body as your sports family, and it would be low to sell something to your family for profit.

i've never understood the point of "say it to my face"

i mean it is either true or it is not

just b/c i may be physically frail and/or you may be physically large and i dont want my ass kicked

doesnt make what i say any less true

i mean if stephen hawking said soem physics mumbo jumbo and then lawrence taylor said "i bet you wont say that to my face" with the implication that there would be physical consequences if he did say it

i bet hawking wouldnt say it

but that doesnt make his physic mumbo jumbo any less true

this is all hypothetical of course, i could kick the ass of anyone on this site any day of the week blindfolded and with classical music playing on my headphones, like, really loud, ok?

I am thinking State is going to suck so bad that they arent going to be able to give away tickets to watch Stone throw 3 interceptions a game.....

I'm in law school you dumbfuck and still on student loans. I came back for two games last year and didn't want to scalp tickets for $50+ a ticket. So I bought some student tickets for like $20 a pop. Pretty good investment if you ask me. And gunzz' crying ass couldn't do anything about it last year and won't do anything about it this year if I do it again.

However, my sister actually got me a membership to the WPC this year for my bday...so I'm thinking about putting some money up each year and then going big when I get out of law school. But you guys are seriously being bitches about selling student tickets.

^I missed a couple games during my 4 years at State...and although I was disappointed, I never bitched about it. I could seriously give a shit if a few dozen tickets were sold to alumni for a game where I didn't get tickets. Shit happens, life's not fair, cry me a river, etc...

haha...apparently its not even an accredited law school:

Quote :
"Charleston School of Law faces questions from ABA before accreditation
Associated Press
CHARLESTON, S.C. - Leaders of Charleston's two-year-old law school, facing new questions from the American Bar Association about its operations, are assuring students they will do whatever it takes to gain accreditation.

The Charleston School of Law had hoped to receive provisional accreditation from the ABA last month. Instead, the bar association asked the for-profit institution for more information about its governance, library resources, and commitment to diversity.

"Students going into a non-accredited school are taking a leap of faith," said Steve Murdaugh, a part-time student at the school. "I'm not anxious about it. But I might be a little more nervous if I were a rising third-year student."

That is because lawyers must have graduated from an accredited law school to take the South Carolina Bar exam, unless the state Supreme Court grants an exception.

Dean Richard Gershon said the ABA raised questions about the role of investors in the school's administration. The investors include Ralph C. McCullough II who serves as chief operating officer at the law school and whose wife serves on the faculty.

The ABA also asked the school about its commitment to racial and ethnic diversity in enrollment. Four percent of its students are black. At the University of South Carolina Law School, 11 percent of the students are black.

The third concern addressed the school's reliance on electronic library resources.

Gershon said the school already has spent $10,000 to purchase bound copies of the legal codes of several states to satisfy the ABA.

"Whatever we have to do (to win accreditation), we'll do it," he said.

"

it must be real hard to get into a school that isnt even accredited by the Bar.

Actually our incoming GPA's and LSATs are higher than a shitload of accredited schools. But you can't be accredited until you've been operating for at least a year. Then you have to go through a year-long process to even get accredidation. Come back in January, and if we're not accredited, then talk all the shit you want.

As for now, keep being an idiot.

I still see nothing wrong with paying for a student ticket. I'd never sell one, but I will buy one. I mean, somebody's going to buy it eventually, might as well be someone like me who's going to support the team. (and please don't make stupid analogies)

Wow maybe I can start my own college? Hell if you wanted a non-accredited law degree, there are plenty that you can just order online, pay $50 and have it mailed to ya, instead of going, paying thousands, and it still not be worth the paper its printed on.

I'll stop on this subject after this post...mainly because it's off topic and it's really not worth it. And I could care less if you question my intelligence or character, but there is nothing wrong with the law school I go to.

I'll say it again, the GPAs and LSATs of our students are higher than a lot of schools that are already accredited (like Campbell and NCCU just to name a few in NC). Our professors and faculty are top notch. We took USC Law School's top two tenured professors and their Dean of Admissions (who had been there 20 years) in our first year. My Constitutional Law Professor was a Harvard Undergrad, Duke Law Grad, and worked as a US Ambassador to help several African nations write their constitution. The head of our Legal Writing Department ran the Legal Writing Department at George Washington's Law School, and the program she started their is now being picked up by all of the top-tier law schools in the Northeast. I could go on...but I think you get the point. And the stalker up there can look at our faculty profiles on the school website if he feels like it.

We went up for accredidation this summer at the earliest possible time we could be accredited and the ABA asked for more information. We weren't denied accredidation. Basically our founders were meddling too much in the school's operations and the ABA told us to fix it. They said they were going to come back in January for another evaluation and decision. However, our third-year law students need the school to be accredited by then so that they can sit for the bar next summer. We told the ABA this, so now they're coming back at the end of November. So I'm not really worried about being accredited.

I don't have to defend myself to anyone on here, but my law school is a different story. I got into Campbell, USC, UGA, and FSU and chose to come here over those schools because of the faculty, environment, and the city (Charleston is the shit).

Aside from that, the bottom line is that this thread is full of a bunch of tattle-tales. Everyone on this site hates Paul Cousins with a passion. Yet they would run crying to him if they found someone trying to sell a student ticket on here. As I said earlier...I don't advocate selling student tickets, but I have bought several. The student is going to eventually sell the ticket to someone, on the internet or not. And if they don't sell it, they'll either keep it or not use it. Lock and delete the "selling student tix" threads if you want, but don't be a bitch and go tell student conduct.
