I learned how to drive a manual approximately on a friends old corolla but I got competency under the patient tutolage of SoundBoy4 in his old Porsche 944.When I bought my first car, an 05 5spd mazda3, I just got in and drove it. My roommate scott helped me figure out hills and such, but it wasn't that big of a deal. The key for me is getting adjusted to the car I'm driving. Once I do that, I'm fine.

I learned how to drive a manual while I was working on my dad's old car - so the manual I learned on was a RHD. No synchros so it was kinda tricky, I am decent at driving that thing, it is still sort of tricky.I got better at it when I put a 5 speed in my car and kinda had to pick it up or not have a car.

I stalled my GT this morning... first time in years haven't driven her in a couple weeks though... spending too much time spent in the Mach with a factory clutch...but yeah - nobody should charge to teach how to drive a car with a manual transmission... if they do... be sure to use their car and intentionally grind the shit out of every gear
