^^^^I thought Moz hated Live Aid[Edited on January 1, 2007 at 4:55 PM. Reason : ]

I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this sounds like "You Only Live Once". I still dig it. Fresh sound, both musically and vocally.

It's almost like the band imploded to become super indie wowsers. Kinda reminds me of Damn Yankees[Edited on January 2, 2007 at 2:36 AM. Reason : \m/ night ranger]

ahhhhhhhh someone please re-upload this
2/15/2007 7:44:05 PM
god dammit, of course i was an idiot and played it song by song, so i only got through 11 songs before i went to dinner, and of course i come home and i cant play the last 3 songs
2/15/2007 9:46:49 PM
okay, this is no M&A or LCW or BSooN but its better than Good News. I don't like the polished MM sound they are going for nowadays but this probably the best it can sound. James Mercer also sings backup on a couple of songs (haha, wait til you hear him yelling in We've Got Everything).[Edited on February 15, 2007 at 10:05 PM. Reason : hhhh]

i hear its not goodand if this dood says its not good, i'm going to hate itwell theres always long drive, lonesome crowded west, sad sappy sucker, and various other oldschool EP's to listen to if i need a mouse fix
2/16/2007 12:38:49 AM
nooo...this is great only halfway through. pretty much tops 'good news' already.
2/16/2007 12:44:11 AM
i got it before it went down...i havent had a chance to listen though. i'll give impressions tomorrow.

2/16/2007 3:47:16 PM
i am listening to it at work and i think it kind of sucks
2/16/2007 8:50:41 PM
Listened to it for awhile now and Im loving it.
2/16/2007 9:03:10 PM
they've gone british...wtf
2/16/2007 10:28:17 PM
just from cruising through it, it sounds better than that good news garbageat some point i need to face the fact that they havent been innovative since the Lonesome Crowded West, and just accept it for what it is
2/17/2007 12:31:44 AM
^exactly how i feel[Edited on February 17, 2007 at 3:58 AM. Reason : L]
2/17/2007 3:54:03 AM
I can't even get myself to finish listening to this one... Moon and Antarctica will always be my favorite
2/17/2007 9:38:05 AM
i think that the moon and antartica is absolute dribble compared to the two albums prior to it
2/17/2007 10:18:09 AM
lonesome crowded west - best hands down, with this is a long drive a close second
2/17/2007 11:46:19 AM
moon and antartica=perfect=their best albumwith lonesome crowded a close second
2/17/2007 4:04:26 PM
^ agreed
2/17/2007 4:11:33 PM
oh dear god nolong drive is infintely better than the moon and antartica, which was the clear and defined beginning of the end of this band (regardless of what pitchfork and the other critic nazis wrote at the time)
2/17/2007 4:16:00 PM
^ yet again, exactly how i feelwhile its a good album, it was the beginning of the end for them
2/17/2007 4:42:06 PM
2/17/2007 5:08:06 PM
^^yeahi think the opposing beliefs must be rooted in a different introduction to this band. i fell in love with this band because of the raw grinding sound of long drive, so the moon and antartica does very little for me. I like a few songs, but it was the clear point of becoming more accessibleoh well
2/17/2007 5:45:16 PM
^um, actually I bought "long drive" the day it came out. I love Moon and Antarctica for it's alternating feelings of hope, dread, desolation, anger, and joy. For me, it works better than any of there others as a full, cohevise, album with a start and a finish and all sorts of mixed emotions in between.
2/17/2007 6:03:44 PM
ehh, i think its kind of lamegive me the fury of the first 2 full lengths or the complete lo-fi rawness of sad sappy sucker[Edited on February 17, 2007 at 6:25 PM. Reason : d]

i wish they would do a real venue. if the "special events center" is what i think it is, it's a big box room. they should do orange peel, an outdoor venue or a theatre. convention centers always have TERRIBLE sound
