Unfortunately there is no complete list. There's just too damn many people. But someone mildly famous might be mentioned in the cardplayer.com blog. You'd still have to search through the whole thing. I'll let you know if I see anything about that guy when I'm reading it later tonight as it happens. (it just started a half-hour ago for the day)

Final Table begins tomorrow at 2:00 PSTWell, the actual final table was yesterday with

Allen Cunningham is a huge favorite
8/9/2006 8:47:36 AM
gold won't win it
8/9/2006 1:31:01 PM
I'll pick Wasicka and Cunningham heads up and heads up is usually a coinflip if someone isn't completely dominated.
8/9/2006 1:38:05 PM
8/9/2006 1:41:30 PM
Not all tourneys get chopped. Some touneys actually ban chopping, but I don't think its this one.Especially because the tourney winnings aren't even the half of what's to come for winning this tournament. And you can be damn sure Cunningham could give two shits about this money. The bracelet is on his mind.
8/9/2006 1:45:45 PM
wpt bans chopping.wsop chopping happens quite a bit... (at least the last two main events, not sure about moneymakers or before) usually with a stay for the winner.[Edited on August 9, 2006 at 2:06 PM. Reason : e]
8/9/2006 2:05:03 PM
I'm not saying chopping doesn't happen a lot, you're totally right. But calling it a coin-flip isn't true because you know top pros care more about the bracelet anyhow. Winning the tourney gives you endorsements and fame, coming in 2nd, notsomuch. So, they still play their hearts out even if they do chop.
8/9/2006 2:35:24 PM
did you watch the HU match the past two years?
8/9/2006 2:46:10 PM
they've been all-in fests... but what was the chop last year?
8/9/2006 3:16:13 PM
both 2005 and 2004 there were deals made.it was brutally obvious by the play, and raymer and others have not been shy about talking about the deals.
8/9/2006 3:20:29 PM
8/9/2006 3:33:02 PM
^yea, these guys ARE in it for the money
8/9/2006 6:35:40 PM
Yeah, well I tell you what ask Chan, Hellmuth, Brunson, Ivey, Negreanu, and other top pros (Cunningham included because he is a top pro)If they would trade 12 mil for being world champ again (or for the first time)I bet they all say they would.
8/9/2006 8:17:40 PM
my comment still stands
8/9/2006 8:20:45 PM
I didnt say they would trade it, but $12mil is on their mind. When you are playing for that much money, no matter who the player is, you are going to be thinking about $12mil.[Edited on August 9, 2006 at 8:59 PM. Reason : .]
8/9/2006 8:59:12 PM
Oh, and Allen Cunningham won his seat into the main event on Full Tilt, and they announced before the WSOP, if you qualified on FT for the main event, and win, they will double the prize money. And I don't care what you say, I think Cunningham would rather have $24mil than win the main event.
8/9/2006 9:22:18 PM
No mention that Michael Binger is an NCSU alumni? Smart guy too:http://arxiv.org/find/hep-ph/1/au:+Binger_M/0/1/0/all/0/1
8/9/2006 10:18:26 PM
^sweet.
8/9/2006 10:20:18 PM
^^ I read the first two sentences of one of his Abstract's and got a headache.. pretty impressivebut, anyone know if the final table is over yet or where you can see LIVE updates? worldseriesofpoker.com isnt updating live that I could find

8/10/2006 8:25:17 AM
^^I know who he is, and I know he is a badass player. He was part of the original "crew" with Juanda, Ivey, and Negreanu. But I really doubt he is "worth $24mil many times over. So you are telling me he is worth like $100mil? Wrong. And you are still missing my point. I know he wants the bracelet, and its something all poker players want, but for $24mil THE MONEY WILL BE ON HIS MIND. You are acting like he isnt even acknoweldging its there. And I don't think any football player would trade a Superbowl ring for $24mil. And honestly, some of the best poker players are going to tell you they would probably rather have the bracelet, but in reality, you know damn well they would trade it for $24mil.
8/10/2006 1:25:03 PM
^^^so would everyone else, what the fuck is your point?
8/10/2006 1:38:44 PM
^^ dan marino, ted williams : they'd probably make the trade
8/10/2006 5:38:12 PM
Nope.
8/10/2006 5:46:10 PM
8/10/2006 5:46:30 PM
1 Jamie Gold 32,500,000 2 Richard Lee 17,110,000 3 Allen Cunningham 12,650,000 4 Doug Kim 8,930,000 5 Rhett Butler 5,545,000 6 Erik Friberg 5,125,000 7 Paul Wasicka 3,990,000 8 Michael Binger 3,640,000 As of 7:50est
8/10/2006 7:50:23 PM
I fucking guarantee Marino would trade 24 mil for a super bowl ring...(legitimately earned, mind you)
8/10/2006 9:22:18 PM
And yes, considering he owns stake in Full Tilt, I do think cunningham is worth ~100 M
8/10/2006 9:22:54 PM
Well I think he's not, and since neither one of us can prove how much money he has, this argument is pointless.
8/10/2006 11:16:39 PM
Jamie Gold now has 52 mil.. WELL over half the chips in playCunningham in 3rd with ~13 mil
8/11/2006 12:25:13 AM

http://a368.l2047451863.c20474.g.lm.akamaistream.net/D/368/20474/v0001/reflector:51863to see the final tableAllen just got taken to school... his pocket 10s got bluffed off a HUGE pot by KQd...granted it woulda been hard as hell to call with the board being AJlow hearts then turn ACouple hands before he schooled Gold and I can't wait to see what they had when the hole cams are shown.
8/11/2006 4:28:47 AM
HU now on the main event... its not much of a match now... 78 mil vs. 12 mil
8/11/2006 6:10:29 AM
Well, Gold takes it down, but Binger (from NCSU) won 3rd and passes Michael Gratz in the money game
8/11/2006 7:27:23 AM
Yahoo is calling the winning hand a big bluff, but I wanna see it on TV.
8/11/2006 1:51:53 PM
i thought the winning hand was.. loser raises preflop... winner calls. winner pairs his Q on the flop, other guy had pocket 10s. loser leads out with a bet, winner raises 10s guy all in, and 10s guy calls, thinking winner missed the flop. game over.
8/11/2006 2:14:42 PM
Yeah, this makes no sense, its not a fucking bluff.
8/11/2006 2:22:18 PM
I stayed up till wee hours of the morning watching and it was SICK how many times he was bluffing.. he showed a few and the crazy thing was he was table talking a TON and telling the truth a LOT.. especially to allen cunningham.. i cannot wait to see the hole cams and see what garbage he had.. he called a huge preflop raise with 46 off and hit a 6 on flop and smooth called the flop and turn then bet big on river ace and took it from a dude with pocket kings
8/11/2006 3:19:53 PM
with a flop being J46, cunningham bet, he calledturn 3, cunningham checked, gold went all in and they talked for a good 10 minutes and gold kept saying he had 25 and cunningham believed him and folded Jx.. thats the one i wanna see
8/11/2006 3:23:16 PM
He is used to bullshitting and talking good game. He used to be, or still is a pretty big agent in LA and is the character that Ari Gold is based on in Entourage.
8/11/2006 4:05:25 PM
when does this show on tv?
8/11/2006 5:43:48 PM
Well they are going to have to run through like 10 episodes of the main event, they are showing them now two at a time, and there are still the circuit events to go through, and they've got to edit all the main event footage. I'd say mid to late September the final table will be on TV.
8/11/2006 7:51:04 PM
