tell me then tree twistawhich continent or region of the earth hasn't had wars or skirmishes over the last 'couple of thousands of years'?could it be Western Europe? nah, they haven't fought since like WWII, and it's peaceful now. What about East Asia? Same deal, there hasn't really been anything all that big since the Mongols or some shit. South America? Full of beaners, who cares. Northern Africa? Buncha niggers who live in huts. Eurasia? they're all fucking communists anyway.Dude, it's gotta be Antarctica!
8/1/2006 12:12:50 AM
so you're admitting the middle east has had plenty of wars over the last couple thousand yearslike i originally claimedthanks for admitting when you're wrong
8/1/2006 12:14:41 AM
8/1/2006 12:21:38 AM
no i was just pulling the same shit you pull in every thread and being sarcasticyour initial statement isn't entirely untrue, but your implications are pretty ignorantyes, the middle east has had its share of violence, but to suggest that it has been a non-stop war for 'thousands of years' is a grossly inacurrate generalization. the truth is that the middle east has been far more peaceful than europe over the last thousand years, but i guess it would be easier to just kill all the jews and arabs so we wouldn't have to hear about it anymore. right?

8/1/2006 12:45:42 PM
yesand, probablyBut for real, let's see all those conflicts over the past few thousand years that would constitute "[being] at war for thousands of years."
8/1/2006 12:52:55 PM
why you think you know more than me in the first place is hilariousyou think because of some liberal propaganda in the soap box that i am an idiotoh man you will believe anything wont you
8/1/2006 12:53:43 PM

8/1/2006 1:02:03 PM

8/1/2006 1:57:38 PM
no you did mr "show me other wars, the middle east is peaceful"its not my fault your literal ass only equivocates "wartorn for thousands of years" as "the same war must last for thousands of years non stop for me to buy into your terminology"]
8/1/2006 1:58:30 PM
No, you were shown to be wrong on that account, too.
8/1/2006 1:59:26 PM

8/1/2006 2:01:32 PM
its not my fault you have no skills at reading comprehensionmaybe if you didnt jump to retarded conclusions off the get-go you wouldnt be so adamant in trying to prove your point
8/1/2006 2:02:26 PM
yay, the trifecta!you've now used ad hominem attacks, sarcasm, and changing the subject to avoid losing this thread. you also get bonus points for that ghost edit on page 1.
8/1/2006 2:05:23 PM
Dude, your overarching point is that the current situation in the region is nothing new. It's very new, actually. Your timeline proves it.^ Oh!
8/1/2006 2:06:07 PM
you lose because i say so, thats how it works?
8/1/2006 2:06:23 PM
well i guess one thing we can all agree on is that if hezbollah had not kidnapped 2 soldiers, lebanon would be a lot better off, no?[Edited on August 1, 2006 at 2:07 PM. Reason : .]

8/2/2006 5:32:44 PM
is there really a difference in your chit chat posts and soap box ones?
8/2/2006 5:40:39 PM
seriously though, judging from your timeline, America looks like a much more wartorn nation.[Edited on August 2, 2006 at 5:47 PM. Reason : i mean 80% of that page is 1900 on.]
8/2/2006 5:46:14 PM
America is more wartorn than the middle east? i'll have to put that in a cyrion's posts of brilliance thread
8/3/2006 10:32:36 AM
^I'll have to put that in a "Treetwista Misses the Point, Again" thread.
8/3/2006 10:42:52 AM
This guy has been infecting Tech Talk lately.
8/3/2006 10:43:45 AM
i guess you must be trolling because you've got to be braindead to think the United States has "been at war" for longer than "the Middle East"
8/3/2006 10:44:49 AM
8/3/2006 10:47:06 AM
yeah i mean the United States had lots of wars before the 1700s
8/3/2006 10:48:09 AM
8/3/2006 10:50:20 AM
^^I'll have to put that in a "Treetwista Misses the Point, Again" thread.
8/3/2006 10:56:51 AM
boonedocks knows the points i'm trying to make better than me
8/3/2006 11:49:54 AM
the point was that your timeline wasnt very convincing.US has been around for 200 years and has had quite a few conflicts as well. in fact there is a MUCH greater frequency in US wars as compared to the middle east timeline you provided (except for the conflicts in the last 50-60 years which you said wasn't your arguing point).
8/3/2006 11:54:45 AM
whens the last time there was a war on US soil? over 100 years agowhens the last time there was a war in the Middle East? right nownobody was talking about country's foreign policieswe were talking about people fighting wars over the Middle East for the past couple thousand years on and off
