You watch todays episode yet? Last weeks wasn’t my favorite, but overall I think it’s been great, and todays was pretty epic

This week's episode was incredible. "The name is Gambit. Remember it."

Sorry but this rogue/magneto thing is dumb

You specifically not speaking with me is dumb as well. But I give you the benefit of the doubt. I figure you some honky ass white boy that says yea i willl just randomly contribute to tww without actually interacting with a motherfucker

Well you gotta think about it from the perspective of the characters. Rogue has gone almost her entire life without being able to physically touch anyone except under some very specific circumstances. On top of that, she's been treated like shit by her family and received more discrimination than most mutants (except for the ones that have physically identifiable features) prior to joining the X-Men.Then this strong, older, charismatic mutant who is naturally resistant to her mutation comes along, doesn't just tell her that there is nothing wrong with her but clearly expresses as much in his actions. She was young/naive at first and didn't realize that he was pretty much a terrorist. Not that farfetched that she'd fall for him pretty hard. The age difference is a bit weird and yeah Magneto is a bit of a scumbag for taking advantage of her, but it happens all the time in the real world with rich/powerful old men and younger women.-------Question to comic readers -- was Magneto pretty much "reformed" from his violent/extreme actions when Prof X died? I found it odd that Prof X would bequeath pretty much everything to his life long frenemy who has regularly attempted to kill humans to advance mutant kind, who then went on to stop committing his warcrimes and stuff and pretty much step directly into Prof X's role and now be a hero.

The 90s version of Magneto was really the only one I was familiar with (was deeper into DC for the most part in the 80s,) and I do remember seeing earlier versions and (then the movie version) and thinking he was kind of square because Jim Lee seriously sexed him the fuck out. Good lord that hair is glorious. I think he was supposed to become more of a good guy, but they eventually walked it back.I love the shapes of the characters on this show and the faces look SO GOOD. The fights are well choreographed and the motion is so smooth. You know what I would love to see this show do? Wolverine: The Jungle Adventure (1989) Man I love Mike Mignola.

That entire last episode was incredible. Wolverine + Nightcrawler was so well done, I especially liked Wolverine's perspective when Nightcrawler teleported him and the dude they were fighting.

Yeah that perspective going through the teleport was really cool

Finally finished the show with episodes 9 & 10 last night. Holy hell what a great show. So much nostalgia too.

Excellent show. Looking forward to where they go with it.Can anyone confirm what Morph's power set is? I thought he was only able to replicate physical aspects of people's mutations, so if he shifted into Angel (who has physical wings), it would make sense that he could fly. Several times in this season though, he replicated other powers. He turned into the Hulk at one point and punched a sentinel's head off. Another time he turned into Quicksilver and was able to move at super speed. Where does his power stop?

lol just went down a rabbit hole on that after reading your questionhttps://scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/288215/to-what-degree-can-morph-copy-the-powers-and-abilities-of-other-marvel-character

^ Thanks for posting that. I googled it myself but only could find a bunch of forum posts from various comic fans talking back and forth about what is and what isn't canon and all of the different inconsistencies.Seems like in combat Morph doesn't really need to actually change his physical appearance? He can make himself stronger/more durable etc without changing the way he actually looks. I would expect that it helps if he does change into a recognizable character though as it would help his teammates understand how he is approaching the fight. If he turns into Juggernaut, they know he's gonna go for a brute strength approach, vs. Quicksilver being a fast attacker.Still makes it seem like he'd be the most powerful of the "physical powers" X-Men.[Edited on May 28, 2024 at 11:40 AM. let's not forget that it's also just a fun way to get cameos without really doing it!
5/29/2024 9:10:02 AM
^yeah, but more often than not it surprised me, and usually took me a minute or 2 to realize “oh that’s just Morph”
5/29/2024 9:17:15 AM
^Yeah that is exactly what happened with me earlier. I was like "wtf where the hell did the Juggernaut come from and why is he helping the X-Men??"Then I rewound and you could just barely see Morph changing into him.
