there seemed to be a lot more structures to draw on this test
8/2/2006 12:09:30 PM
indeed. ^ and what the heck...NADH was sooo last test.
8/2/2006 2:38:08 PM
well NADH is one of the products of the krebs cycle and is used in electron transport cycle to produce atpplus the structure has adenine in it.its prolly fair game for the next test too
8/3/2006 8:28:52 AM
ya..when i first saw it was like "wtf.." but i managed to remember it by the end.....and next test....well.....ive done really well so far...so i may just decide screw the 4th one and make it my drop.... cuz...i needa study hard for physics.
8/3/2006 4:53:39 PM
i decided to stop going to problem session and make that my dropthe last two tests shouldnt be that bad
8/3/2006 5:42:43 PM
god....i hate problem session.

last day of class/last two tests this week!!! at least test 4 and the final are going to be really similar to the practice tests[Edited on August 6, 2006 at 6:33 PM. Reason : ]

do we have problem session anymore? We've already had the 8 quizzes...but i havent' heard any mention of it being done.
8/6/2006 7:16:10 PM
Monday/Wednesday session has one more tomorrowTuesday/Thursday is done
8/6/2006 7:46:32 PM
were you in the tues/thurs?
8/6/2006 8:20:05 PM
Do you guys think there will be structures from previous tests again on this one? NADH totally blindsided me on the last one....For some reason structures absolutely never stay in my long term memory...
8/6/2006 8:21:01 PM
ehh. i dont think so...except like glucose, pyruvate, fructose, alpha ketoglutarate, oxaloacetate....since they're kinda important...

Hey guys Ive got a few questions about the the practice test. Question 1- In the multiple choice question D where does the fadh2 and the other nadh come from. Didnt I read in the book it gives off one nadh and one qh2. Maybe I am just missing this but I have read the book and the notes about pyruvate dehydrogenase and dont reall see anything that relates to question A. Could anyone point me in to wehere that sections is. Thanks in advance.
8/6/2006 9:41:39 PM
one cycle produces one...but there are 2 cycles for every 1 glucose. So double the products....Is this what you were talking about?
8/7/2006 9:39:56 AM
Sorry just reread your question. Not sure, good question...
8/8/2006 9:03:20 AM
So what are we doing in lecture tomorrow-he said we weren't going to review wednesday? does that mean he's giving his "nonrequired" lecture??
8/8/2006 6:16:43 PM
i didnt think we had class....
8/8/2006 7:53:10 PM
NO CLASS WEDNESDAY FOOOOOOOOLS get ready to ace the final thursday
8/8/2006 9:48:36 PM
so...is anyone doing anything more than reading over the final in the back of the bottom lines to study? ....i feel like a slacker.
8/9/2006 4:55:57 PM
i feel like the ultimate slacker, i have like over 60 thousand posts on a lame ass website
8/9/2006 5:19:36 PM
NO! Thats what i'm afraid of...there's so much material. If he decides to switch it up on us (which i wouldn't put past him), then i really don't know what to study. What do you think? He kept using the words "basically showing you the final"...I wonder what his interpretation of "basically" isFor right now, i'm just studying the final. Maybe we should go over old tests? by the way, did he ever mention getting our test 4 back to us?
8/9/2006 5:39:02 PM
we will get test 4 back right before the final examall i am going to do for tomorrow is know the practice final
8/9/2006 5:48:07 PM
he said the 4th test and final were going to be VERY similar to the book..and the 4th exam was almost exam. so...i think he may switch up the amino acids....but thats about it...
8/9/2006 6:02:34 PM
um NOthe final is VERBATIM what is in the manual
8/9/2006 6:14:17 PM
how do you know it's verbatim?
8/9/2006 7:00:42 PM
him saying "this IS the final" a few times gave it awayand he also told someone in my problem session that it was going to be exactly the same as the ones in our manual.[Edited on August 9, 2006 at 7:12 PM. Reason : ]
