^^
7/25/2006 3:55:53 PM
oh ok...didnt know he struggled in summer league play
7/25/2006 3:56:14 PM
struggling meaning he is taking it easy and not doing everything he is capable of so he doesnt hurt his knee again
7/25/2006 4:02:54 PM
My guess would be that Stoudamire and Jamison are left off the team...Then i think its down to either Battier or Brad Miller...K doesnt wanna leave off Battier but i think the assistants might persuade him to carry an extra big man...
7/25/2006 4:09:36 PM
gotta get redick on the team...and grant hill...and brand too...and dunleavy and duhon...

Bobcats Sophomores Putting In Extra WorkRaymond Felton, Sean May and Kevin Burleson have spent this summer working to improve their games as they enter their sophomore seasons in the NBA. While other second-year players may be spending their first NBA offseason relaxing or vacationing prior to training camps opening, this Bobcats trio has spent the summer honing their skills. After participating in the Bobcats summer camp and Orlando Summer League in July, Felton, May and Burleson headed to Tim Grgurich's camp in Las Vegas on Monday, July 31, to get in even more work as training camp draws closer. Grgurich’s camp is slightly different than other summer camps in that it is strictly about basketball – there are no media, no agents and no general managers in attendance. The players don’t have to worry about who is watching, who they have to impress or be concerned about wins and losses. All they are worrying about is improving as a basketball player, and veteran players like Jermaine O’Neal, Eric Snow and Donyell Marshall in attendance work diligently with the young players trying to help them improve their games. The camp draws over 60 NBA basketball players, who are given the opportunity to see different defensive and offensive systems from around the league, with approximately 18 NBA teams represented. There is individual work and group work in structured two-a-days, and for young players like Felton, May and Burleson, it is an opportunity to get even more experience against NBA players and give them a boost heading into training camp. All three Bobcats players gave a strong showing in camp and earned rave reviews. Felton was considered by many to probably be the best point guard in camp, impressing coaches from around the league with not just his scoring touch, but his ability to lead and make his teammates better. After finishing his rookie season strong in 2005-06, Felton has continued to show that he’s got the swagger and confidence now that can make good players great, and all his tools are magnified. With more confidence entering his second season, it is starting to become obvious that Felton is looking to take his game to the next level. May also continued to play well in camp, but perhaps even more importantly, it was good to see him back 100 percent from the ankle injury he suffered on the last day of the Orlando Summer League. He was running up and down the court, making his jump shots and using his post moves effectively and seems ready to show what he can do after missing a chunk of time last season due to injuries. Of the three, the Bobcats player that probably showed the most improvement as the week went along was Burleson. He seems to be starting to figure out how he can make himself a quality backup point guard in this league and is starting to make the simple plays. It’s good for him to get this opportunity as often as he can to play against this caliber of players – guys like Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo and Felton. He had the opportunity to gain some experience against that caliber of players.

The bobcats are still about $9 million under the minumum salary cap.Im really curious as to what we're going to do with that $9 million because there isn't really shit left on the FA market.Hopefully just overpay some guys for some one year deals or something because i dont wanna lock any shitty players up to 4-5 year deals.
8/7/2006 6:00:59 PM
what the thing i read said was that whatever they are under ($9 million, or whatever is eventually left) is split up among the players, so they basically get a bonus.
8/7/2006 6:04:49 PM
^ oh, i hadnt heard that... thats odd but okay with me... rather our core guys make some extra $ than go nuts and lock up some shitty guy like Jared Jeffries for 5 years $30 million.Quick, what General Manager just did the above?
8/7/2006 6:29:30 PM
the wizards GM?
8/8/2006 10:11:15 AM
^^Isaiah Thomas.I say the line on his job length right now is about Christmas. He is terrible.
8/8/2006 10:26:03 AM
so wait, after a year of being ridiculed by everybody for the stupidest player moves, not to mention that they're already paying massive money on other contracts....thomas signs that guy for that much for that many years? seriously, did the last year not teach him "dont overpay players with long term contracts"??? it's like he's TRYING to get a reactionwhy does he do that?
8/8/2006 10:51:22 AM
isiah was a helluva basketball playerbut he's a really bad front office guy
8/8/2006 11:51:09 AM
ok ok , I know I am in the minority with this point of view, but Jeffries played great in the playoffs, especially with his defense on LeBron James. He is a great Perimeter defender, something that the Knicks desperately need considering thier point and SG are both less than 6'4''.He overpayed, but they are in the same division and had to put an offer on the table that the Wizards couldnt match. Jeffries is very young and has good potential on offense, but make no mistake, this move was made strictly for defensive purposes.

8/25/2006 10:40:14 AM
i thought he signed a week or two ago?apparently this dude is pretty nice though...he was on one of the teams that beat Team USA in the 00' or 04' Olympics...played with Ginobli among others
8/25/2006 4:08:09 PM
worth a shot... jaskevicious sucked last year making the transition from Euroleagues but nocioni, ginobili, and varajeo are all very good NBA players...

how bout adam morrison and the bobcats getting some live in tonight's nba live '07 promo during monday night football? it was the first time i'd seen thati got excited
9/19/2006 12:11:30 AM
his foot was on the line
9/19/2006 12:30:57 AM
yeah at first I thought it was a great shot but upon closer inspection his foot was on the line so I guess we lost by one.The Bulls are pretty good this year though so no shame in losing by one on the road to them...
9/19/2006 9:41:26 AM
I must have missed it
9/19/2006 9:44:24 AM
looking good, but 2k7 will be the better game
9/19/2006 9:47:11 AM
yeah, when did NBA Live become the inferior game, it used to be the shit like 2 years ago.
9/19/2006 9:47:54 AM
live became inferior as soon as NBA 2K came out on Dreamcast
9/19/2006 9:53:16 AM
yeah but Live '95 was a great game.My god i used to have to play Bulls vs Blazers and NBA showdown on Super Nintendo.it took 10 seconds to get the ball up the court in Bulls vs Blazers... if you didnt sprint up the floor after every rebound you'd get a ten second call. I used to foul Clyde Drexler out of games because I'd get three charging calls just trying to advance past halfcourt.Tecmo NBA on the other hand was a badass game.
9/19/2006 10:06:06 AM
Live 95 and any live up to about 2001 were good...I liked how after you made a shot your player would often do some retarded pose at the baselinebefore that Lakers vs. Celtics was off the chain
9/19/2006 10:08:04 AM
I used to play Live 2K3 with Houston, Yao Ming's 5 ft. J was unstopable.
9/19/2006 10:10:31 AM
my favorite live was 03gameplay just seemed smoother
9/19/2006 10:12:50 AM
from espn
9/19/2006 11:12:30 AM
hell yeah
9/19/2006 2:36:35 PM
if everyone can stay healthy this year, i dont think 35-40 wins is out of reach, and who knows, that could very well be enough to be in the playoff hunt. i'd like them to get one more high draft pick so they can pick up a decent C, then get a SG in the free agency, but i dont think they'll be bad enough to do that plan.
9/19/2006 2:57:50 PM
9/19/2006 3:07:49 PM
i like live 06, but it is way too easy to score. defense is almost impossible unless you have one of the special D players like ben wallace or okafor to do one of those power blocks.

http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/sports/basketball/nba/charlotte_bobcats/15560676.htmBobcats might take a shot at signing Bonzi Wells...Wouldn't be a bad pickup. We've been without an elite shooting guard since we started this thing.
9/20/2006 12:09:31 PM
I dont know if Bonzi is elite enoughcourse I dont think Vinsanity is a realistic pick either but who knows
