another brilliant statement

just because he's the top free agent in the weakest FA class ever doesnt mean id want to give him that amount of money for the next four years...he was a liability in the Cleveland series... his body is due to break down eventually after all the wear and tear and deep playoff runs the past few years... his blocked shots have dropped like 40% over the past two seasons...he has gotten WORSE at the free throw line....he doesn't have to prove himself for a contract anymore...The Pistons would be better off with a guy like Bonzi Wells... they didn't have ANYONE who could score in the playoffs this year besides Tayshaun Prince...

obviosuly its a better situation, since he wont have to play as many minutes as he did with the pistons with their shitty benchif they happen to keep chandler, then that would help even more
7/5/2006 1:47:30 PM
yeah im not saying he's a bad signing by the Bulls... they were in need of a center.I'm just saying Detroit would have totally handcuffed themselves by re-signing Wallace to that kind of money.they already had the worst depth in the league, rasheed is getting old, b.wallace is getting old....And their run in the East with that lineup was probably over now with Wade & Lebron beginning their takeover...[Edited on July 5, 2006 at 1:51 PM. WTF....dey got dat Nazr Muhammed now. He sucks...but is a very, very, very poor man's Ben Wallace. What he doesnt have in athleticism he does have in scoring ability, and he can block shots. They will need more depth on the bench, but that was about the closest thing to Wallace as they could get and will likely be a decent fit.
7/5/2006 1:53:58 PM
I like that signing... he can help them and he doesnt kill their cap the way wallace would haveanyway the whole thing is moot for the Bulls if they cant get Garnett or someone, wallace doesnt make them much better.[Edited on July 5, 2006 at 2:30 PM. Reason : a]

Tyrus Thomas could provide a nice backup/compliment to Wallace.
7/5/2006 2:05:13 PM
**ugh, it looks like they're getting PJ Brown and JR Smith.... they just want PJ cause his contract expires at the end of the year... honestly i would have kept Tyson Chandler instead of signing Ben Wallace... i dont like this move for the Bulls anymore... they better hope Tyrus Thomas turns into Shawn Marion.[Edited on July 5, 2006 at 2:40 PM. Loul Deng is thier Marion. They are going to have one deep ass bench next year, but I cant see them keeping Smith, besides blocks and dunks, he really doesnt fit on that roster. He was likely just thrown in to make that trade even out salary wise. I wouldnt be suprised to see them deal him for a draft pick.
7/5/2006 2:46:43 PM
I take back that i said they arent any better... they're definitely better...i just see them having the same exact problem they had last season... no post scoring options...I don't like Deng very much I think he's almost reached his ceiling... they've been trying to package him in a deal for awhile now but can't get any bites...their key players are Heinrich and Nocioni... I do really like Tyrus Thomas and they should be a pretty damn solid defensive team in the post now..I could definitely see them coming out of the East the more i think about it... the Pistons are aging, the Heat struggled a lot with Chicago last year anyway, the Lebrons dont really have much room to add anything unless they can dump Zydrunas and Damon Jones on someone

glad you are starting to things my way now.nonetheless....GO HEAT!
7/5/2006 3:16:47 PM
bring it
7/5/2006 4:37:15 PM
^^^ Deng is their Marion? Deng is absolutely nothing like Marion, totally different players and athletes. Deng is alright, but Marion is far superior, and for the Bulls sake, I hope Thomas is better than Deng in a year or two.

Let's just say that with their new roster, they will have a much better result if they play the heat in the playoffs next season. Probably have a great chance of beating them.
