ok, well i just got me an ATI card, it's a radeon 7000, PCI, 64 mb, just to run the second monitor, and i tried to do this just like they did http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=6269 and i installed the card, and in the display properties the card is not showing up, and if i go into device manager, the ati card has a yellow exclamation point next to it and if i go into properties it says device cannot start. i believe i have the latest drivers for the ati and nvidia cards, and the fucking ati card wont' work at all. the only thing i can think of is that the ati card is not compatible with my mobo (asus pn32 sli deluxe) which has an nvidia chipset, but isn't there some kind of fix for it, anyone has any ideas what the problem might be?

so how is it possible to make my desktop wallpaper span both my monitors without buying anything?

well you could resize each image to the resolution used by a single monitor, then crop the two together & center the image.

for 2 x 1600x1200 monitors, the resolution would be 3200x1200make a new graphics file with those dimensions and paste in the two wallpapers side-by-side.i use mine in tile mode so the left and right show up on correct sides since i've changed my primary monitor to be the other one.

you have to get a dual monitor wallpaper, they work real well
