The fact that there should even be a need for me to admit trolling for a thread like this doesn't reflect well on the Soap Box's collective intelligence.[Edited on June 22, 2006 at 12:48 PM. Reason : Peace, we outta here.]

Once again, a case of somebody playing dumb, claiming victory when people think he's actually dumb, and then claiming he's actually smart for acting dumb.Jesus Christ keep this shit far away from the Soap Box, please.
6/22/2006 1:19:48 PM
Yes, FroshKiller is known for backpedaling and claiming he was trolling when he was clearly being serious.
6/22/2006 1:32:17 PM
Let's just say I didn't put this level of idiocy past you, and it's not a sign of my own shortcomings. If you're "known" for anything, it's for that one time I saw you on TV
6/22/2006 1:41:11 PM
move along
6/22/2006 2:01:28 PM
the same folks use US taxpayer dollars to pay for these machinesso who's more accountable, the US gov or Cat?
6/22/2006 3:54:18 PM
i think this whole "weaponized" term is overused hyperbole. there are NOT any weapons on the damn bulldozer. (but you gotta admit, it is a scary lookin motherfucker)for the record, CAT doesnt make or install the armor. IDF does.and it doesnt matter if you lay down in front of and subsequently get run over by a 49-ton unarmored D9 bulldozer, or the 59-ton IDF armored version... youre going to be squished.
6/23/2006 12:32:40 PM
To weaponize something is to turn it into a weapon, not necessarily to add weapons to it. If I beat someone to death with a shoe, that's a weaponized shoe.
6/23/2006 5:32:25 PM
holy cow that's a heck of a dozer
6/23/2006 5:40:47 PM
^^ my depleted uranium flip-flop?

I don't appreciate FroshKiller's trickery in this thread. I thought he was being serious, and I respect his opinions (he appears thoughtful, at least), so I've been sitting over here, wondering what I was missing, not laughing with the cool kids about what a good troll this is.

bridget, here's all you need to know:
6/23/2006 6:29:41 PM
Wait, he did that for real?Am I the only one on here who admits I'm wrong from time to time?
6/23/2006 6:33:18 PM
I'm afraid I'm not particularly smart. I intend for most of my abortive attempts at humor, parody, irony, and satire to go above everyone's head, but sharp cookies like McDanger are totally hip to my ruses and keep me in line like a good little halfwit.
6/23/2006 6:42:57 PM
i was wrong once. but it was a long time ago, and i swore i'd never let it happen again

caterpillar should STOP selling them to the people if caterpillar KNOWS of the intended harmful/illegal/whatever use of it. Since they continue to sell them knowing of the harmful intent, they are taking all of their "great work" from the past and taking a hot steamy poop and mixing them in a bag and lighting it on fire and eating it then pooping it back out and repeating the process.if i was selling items to a customer and later found out it was used for harm, i'd stop selling it, no matter the profit.[Edited on June 25, 2006 at 5:41 PM. And that customer would sue you for descrimination. Besides, everyone has already made it clear: Caterpilar has no idea who is buying its bulldozers. Odds are some import-export business in Europe is doing the buying and selling for the Israeli.

LoneSnark's spelling list:obseenly (obscenely)descrimination (discrimination)renound (renowned)tollerate/tollerant (tolerate/tolerant)You get a pass on caterpilar (caterpillar).I don't know why I'm obsessed with this. I guess I just think it's cute. Obseenly? That's just fucking adorable.

I guess I should re-read what I post before posting,

Whoa there, OEPII1 0EPII1, back it on up. I'm the one who keeps the list so I'm the one who decides when, where, and how to make the criticisms. You wanna keep a word document on your desktop for the specific purpose of keeping track of LoneSnark's spelling errors? Be my guest. But until then, watch your fucking mouth.[Edited on June 25, 2006 at 9:02 PM. Reason : my bad]

^actually, private businesses that are public accommodations cannot refuse service to several protected classes (races, nationalities, veterans, etc.). I didn't read the rest of this thread.
6/25/2006 10:39:40 PM
Does Caterpillar provide "public accommodations"? Nope!

Did skokiaan say he was talking about Caterpillar? Nope! [Edited on June 25, 2006 at 11:07 PM. Reason : sss]

Yes, and he robbed me blind afterwards while I was asleep.

^ Well what he said wasn't too far off. They can know who's buying their machines if they talk to the dealers, but they sell machines through dealerships. Also, people can (of course) buy and sell these machines after they've been sold originally through dealerships. That might not be so easy to track. The point is, they don't sell directly to the people that use the machines.
