i have never looked forward to a movie this much. on imdb people are talking a/b some advanced screenings theyve been too and it sounds incredible. there are some slight spoilers over there, but most of the posters are saying its the funniest most offensive movie they've ever seen. hopefully, it's not all edited up before its release.
10/5/2006 5:14:04 PM
sneak at the campus cinema monday at 10pm, passes in witherspoon
10/5/2006 5:36:56 PM
Donny Deutch just interviewed one of the feminists that Borat talks to.She thought that the movie was very funny and called it smart satire.Never saw that coming...
10/9/2006 10:34:06 PM
not a great plot, but I can honestly say i've never laughed as much as I did for this film in my life.
10/9/2006 11:44:21 PM
I'm not sure which was funnier: the movie itself, or the kid who was running up the aisle that tripped and fell and sent his popcorn flying everywhere in front of a full theater. Nevermind, running of the jews was funnier.
10/9/2006 11:54:32 PM
^^can't say i was really expecting a plot. funny movie.^and i'm still wondering if that was staged. it was too perfect.
10/10/2006 12:12:49 AM
^ oh yeah i didn't want one or care. Just shows how funny the movie was.
10/10/2006 12:19:23 AM
the popcorn thing was staged. We were waiting for him to do it for like 10min.also the movie was the most offensive movie ive ever seen...and it was sweet.
10/10/2006 12:52:56 AM
i wish i was able to see it tonight does he pull out the jew claw at all?
10/10/2006 12:54:49 AM
there is enough jew bashing to make hitler happy.
10/10/2006 1:00:32 AM

The flick got a HUGE bump in publicity this week. England lost to Macedonia 2-0, and in the process scored an own goal when a back pass jumped over Paul Robinson's foot and rolled into the net. Pictures were in every major European newspaper, and video was shown hundreds of times on sports shows all over the world.
10/15/2006 2:49:45 PM
set to be the funniest movie of the year? maybe the funnest movie of the new millenium?who knows, but hearing clips and judging from the show, it can't be bad.rottentomatoes.com has it rated as a 100% (even though it hasn't come out yet)
10/19/2006 11:46:11 AM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-qO8Oywpas&eurl=don't know if this has been posted, but it's the first four min of the movie and is better than the trailer.
10/23/2006 3:14:12 PM
This movie is going to be awesome. I'll probably try to go to a Friday afternoon matinee showing when it comes out.

Sacha Baron Cohen, in the guise of his movie persona, Kazakhstani journalist Borat, has attended the London premiere of his movie, Borat: Cultural Learning's of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, addressing the awaiting rain-soaked crowd as "gentlemen and prostitutes." As he stepped from a mule-drawn cart, he remarked, "After this I stay in a hotel in Kings Cross, you must come and join me. We will all drink, wrestle with no clothes on and shoot dogs from the window." Later, speaking with reporters, he said, "I have come here with Bilak, my 11 year old son, his wife and their child, and we are hoping maybe to put some chocolate make-up on the child's face and sell him to Madonna. I am hoping that Madonna will be a very good father for it."

Anyone catch Borat on SNL over the weekend?
10/30/2006 1:44:39 PM
on TV guide it has the guest for letterman being "character Borat"... sweeeet
10/30/2006 2:33:00 PM
I caught Borat on SNL. It was cool b/c it was Borat, but not incredibly "on".
10/30/2006 2:34:19 PM
i saw it as well...i was eating when he picked up the "ball of pubes" this was made from the hairs of three women of Kazakhstan hahahaha
10/30/2006 2:36:49 PM
the scripted stuff isnt as good, part of the reason its so hilarious is the improv aspect
10/30/2006 2:38:58 PM
oh and "schwing! this means my penis erect!"
10/30/2006 2:39:57 PM
YEAH! BRUNO!"I come to the gayest place in America...ALABAMA!"So did he host SNL in character or what?[Edited on October 31, 2006 at 1:25 AM. Reason : WE ARE NOT #1 EXPORTER OF PUBIS]
10/31/2006 1:25:23 AM
i dont know if this has been mentioned...but the film studios decided against a big release they had planned (2200 prints nation wide) and decided to go with only 800 prints. and then go wider with the full 2200 the next weekend. This way the word of mouth will increase awarness or whatever...I was worried we wouldn't get a print at the grande, but .... we got one.somehow crossroads still managed to get 2!the new garner theater however isn't get a print.tentative of course
10/31/2006 1:57:17 AM
Will Mission Valley have one? Anyone know?[Edited on October 31, 2006 at 2:51 AM. Reason : .]
10/31/2006 2:51:38 AM
My guess is going to be no, given the limited release of the film. But it's possible. Most theaters get their bookings in on Monday, so If you call them, they should have an answer by now.
10/31/2006 10:03:43 AM
I'm glad i went to that early screening now!
10/31/2006 10:16:53 AM
10/31/2006 10:19:25 AM
Yeah, the sneak previews really have an impact on their actual bookings for opening weekend... how well the audience reaction/turnout for that market affects a lot of things.if that sneak preview wouldn't have been packed, the raleigh area would have even less prints.it is still surprising that they are getting two prints though.... i mean... out of 800.
10/31/2006 10:23:08 AM
Borat didn't host SNL but he did do the intro...I caught about the 2nd half of it...I did catch him saying"Live from New York...home of the Jew...its Saturday night"Also DVR'd him on Letterman last night...funny shit...I might condense and put on youtube if its not already there
