The IC isn't really that critical with a small turbo running very low boost. I'm sure he can dig up something without much trouble though. I'd recommend the stock SRT-4 IC if you can make it fit. It's a pretty compact fmic, it doesn't have plastic end tanks, and it can be obtained at pretty cheap prices (Under $100 on srtforums I would think).[Edited on June 14, 2006 at 7:54 PM. Reason : ]

when does turbo fab start?
6/29/2006 12:44:02 PM
The install date is Sunday July 9th.Jeepman- are you free that day, or can I borrow your welder?
6/29/2006 6:10:02 PM
I'll prollly be here. baryn's kinda particular ab me taking it/ other ppl using it. i can work w/ ya tho. when are you trying to get stuff welded? and do you want to work on my radio w/ me tomorrow?
6/29/2006 6:28:59 PM
its already fabbed and you're installing it? good luck
6/29/2006 9:41:09 PM
I'm in the process of fabbing now, so it will be ready to be installed in a week and a half.
6/29/2006 10:22:11 PM
Crap.I may have to delay the install date by three weeks. Don't know if my last parts are going to be here, and then I am leaving for two weeks to LA, California.
7/2/2006 7:07:58 PM
shit that would suck i want to see this shit done
7/2/2006 7:30:39 PM
I want it done too, but not everything always follows schedule. My seat broke yesterday, so I need to get a new one so I can actually drive the car. Right now, there is no back to the seat.
7/2/2006 8:20:06 PM
If you're in Charlotte, my dad would be glad to sell you a seat. Give me or the house a call if you're interested. The upholstery is tan fabric on our spare interior.
7/3/2006 1:32:05 AM
Fixed the seat. One of the welds broke in the back seat where it bolt into the reclining mechanism. I swapped seat backs, and problem solved.
7/4/2006 5:02:46 PM
So, I got a few things accomplished today.I did an allignment and oil change to start with. The allignment was a bitch, that required breaking out the torch to heat some of the nuts. Then I discovered my power steering rack is leaking while under the car. again. As well as one of the high pressure lines.I installed: my Warlboro 255 intank fuel pump.the boost guage.my Greddy FATT. sort of, I'm having issues with it. my fuel pressure guage.I removed:The condensorthe compressor motorthe AC linesmore of the car interior. (non needed metal, and wires)
7/10/2006 12:16:29 AM
so the turbo is on.? ur letting me down i need more picts seriously. and a video.
7/10/2006 12:20:18 AM
No, the turbo is not on. I would have said so if it was.I will have a couple more pictures up later.
7/10/2006 7:52:01 AM
why change oil if you still haven't mounted the turbo? anyway you have to drain coolant and oil to install it...[Edited on July 10, 2006 at 1:35 PM. Reason : hjhj]

9/9/2006 9:51:27 AM
Daryl, looks good. Did you put silicone caulk under the diamond plate? And does it go yet? [Edited on September 9, 2006 at 7:41 PM. Reason : d]

I guess it is time to unveil my creation. No, it is not running yet.-I need to install the SAFC-I need to put in the wideband-I need to prime the oil lines-I need to fix the one intercooler pipe-I am waiting for my injectors, but will still run it before then.-Get some bolts for here and there.Really, that isn't much left.I will have a total price list made later on so I can see how I did with my budget. So, on with the pictures. The exhaust exits through the door via a 3'' pipe with chrome tip and diamond plate surround.Under the hood scoop is this intercooler. I will eventaully get around to adding the alcohol spray. The turbos. Twin K03s, running in parallel pushing 8psi.[]Puts on flame suit[/]Any questions?[Edited on September 20, 2006 at 10:15 PM. Reason : .[Edited on September 20, 2006 at 10:22 PM. Reason : one more pic.]
9/20/2006 10:13:48 PM
I'm glad they're in parallel series wouldn't work to well with those tiny bastards and that low of psi.so the turbos are in the passenger cabin?[Edited on September 20, 2006 at 10:18 PM. Reason : .]
9/20/2006 10:18:12 PM
yeah, underneath and in the engine bay there was no room. I thought about putting them in the trun, similar to a STS setup, but that would have been even more work, and even less efficient with the turbos I have.
9/20/2006 10:20:14 PM
Now we need to add full instrumentation via HUD, complete with a full FLIR, night-vision and radar/jamming capabilities.Do a Gumball Run with it...see how fast you can do coast to coast.I'm down.
9/20/2006 10:20:23 PM
estimated time/price at the end?
9/20/2006 10:27:21 PM
the trunk thing would have been better i think those turbos are tiny they'll spool on a briggs motor i think they'd spool in your trunk on a what 3.5l?
9/20/2006 10:32:01 PM
zxappeal: I am now saving for an array of Autometer Cobalt guages, sorry no HUD.OmarBadu: I think I am at about $1300-$1400 when all complete.sumfoo1: I wanted to keep them close to keep efficiency. Not too worried about spool. It is a 3.0L VG30 motor[Edited on September 20, 2006 at 10:43 PM. Reason : .]

that's some qualinty niggin right there, i approve this thread!!!
9/20/2006 10:44:35 PM
^fuck yeah. p.s.-- wear hearing protection.
9/20/2006 10:49:05 PM
holy hell wtf. those suckers are gonna get hot you know... good thing falls coming i guess
9/20/2006 11:01:48 PM
I plan on making a heat shield/ explosion guard that will seperate me and them somewhat. I know they are going to get very hot, but I don't plan on having this be a traveling vahicle. I already have earplugs, I think I will hear them spool plenty. Even over the sound of the exhaust.
9/20/2006 11:09:47 PM
that shit aint fast till you put some type r stickers on there
9/20/2006 11:11:13 PM
oh dear god. not only does your exhaust exit out your rear door. you put the turbos in the cabin. thats all i can say.
9/21/2006 12:23:52 AM
^ummm, yes?
9/21/2006 12:45:10 AM
dude your project is a nigger rigged peice of shit.Seriously.Its about as cool as the PC case that has hamsters running around in it.GL to you, try not to burn yourself.
9/21/2006 1:06:03 AM
That hurt my feelings oh so badly. So when are you and mark going to get that compilation DVD together from the AutoX 3 years ago? You guys still working on that?FYI, A lot of that was carefully planned, and it mimics a system that sells very well.
