Hey guys, anyone know any shops around here that carry those new official Conference Champ 2006 shirts? I know Dick's sporting goods has a limited amount of stuff, usually like off-brands....and of course the store in the RBC center, but anywhere else?
6/2/2006 4:54:55 PM
department stores like sears and penny's will have them. Pretty soon the Stanley Cup should be taking some trip to a local mall.
6/2/2006 4:58:18 PM
really? The official ones?
6/2/2006 5:10:02 PM
yeah, pretty much any department store will probably have a few of the Nike onesyou shoulda seen the influx of them in every store after the UNC Final Four/Championship...of course, they overordered last time, so this time they might hold back a bit

6/2/2006 7:03:22 PM
I think most of them came from carolinahurricanes.comhttp://forums.hurricanes.com/viewforum.php?f=6&sid=5510c6d40041fa9950f6a98f9b4e2f47
6/2/2006 7:11:46 PM
Yeah most of them were from there and a few were from Hockey's Future. There were some real gems that I saw when I was browsing at work, but by the time I got home they had been deleted.

Breakdown:-The teams represent just about everything the league wanted in "the New NHL" -The "team" concept has spread to the NHL even though the 'Canes have a number of stars on their team and the Oilers have Chris Pronger-The Canes have garnered the respect from various media outlets (this means you, ESPN) that so eluded them four years ago. Then again, most of the guys from H-Y-P-E are gone or no longer covering hockey-The Southeast, which was the Southleast until '03-04, and the Northwest are the two toughest divisions in the leagueThe Verdict: While NBC and OLN continue to bemoan the loss of big market U.S. teams, the CBC is having itself a grand old ball. Let's face it, the Peacock was all ready to hype up a Rangers-Wings Final. Too bad, the networks and the league continue to use the NBA mindset that only big markets count. The bottom line is that Canadians have a hard-on for the Stanley Cup the same way Hugh Hefner does for blondes. Since I no longer have a dog in this fight (thanks a lot #8), I don't care who wins this, but the idea that a #8 seed reached the final round counts for something. The Hurricanes look like a team that has the potential to win a few Stanley Cups. The Oilers, OTOH, look as volitale as the entire Northwest and could easily be out of the playoff picture next year. Not to mention, they are still playing in the Great On's shadow some 16 years after they last won it all and 18 years since #99 won his fourth and final Cup.The only guarantee that I'll make is that this series will not go seven games. As much as I hate it and wanted an '02 rematch, I'll go with the potential flameouts over a potential small market dynasty and say--Oilers in six [Edited on June 2, 2006 at 7:50 PM. Reason : ]

6/3/2006 12:19:04 PM
^^No offense but being a game off is nothing to brag about. As long as the canes won, I could say they would win in 6 games, and be "one game off" about 95 percent of the time.
6/3/2006 12:28:12 PM
^^^ Which game(s) and how much?

280 bucks and you still have to sit in the club level. Yeesh.
6/3/2006 4:18:19 PM
the view is killer dude. It's right in the middle, and the row is C which is 2 behind the front row. very very very awesome perspective and view on the game.
6/3/2006 4:25:13 PM
Like I've said before, to each his own. I hate the view from the middle of the sidelines.
6/3/2006 4:32:13 PM
my favorite section to sit in for games is 313, i absolutely love the view
