completely changed the story, and the entire movie was in the dark with clowns running around wearing make up, which by the way, never happened. They did have a good cast though.

Ender, seems like you are into the new comic movies more than the classics

I just think that older comic movies were made with little care about a faithful transition from comic to movie. Also hollywood couldn't do superpowers justice until the advent of cgi.

Here is my list, I collected comics for years, so I am bias off of good casting, following the actual comic and having a hero worth a movie.

Best:

Superman, Batman, Spiderman1 and 2.

Superman changed some things, but they developed the plot. Batman changed even more but the plot and cast was awesome. Spiderman had the technology and completely followed the comic (except spiderman made his web shooters).

OK:

Hellboy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles part one, Men in Black, and Spawn.

These movies lack a little, but were good.

I watched and wasn’t pissed:

X-men (there are many characters and is hard to make interesting sticking to the comic), Batman begins( I hope Superman returns at least follows to this level),
The crow, the mask( only because of Jim), and from hell ( are talking about the original?)

Bad:

Hulk, Punisher, Aliens vs. Predator, and Daredevil

I did not list them all because some do not fall into any of the categories, I didn’t hate them nor like them enough to argue.
What about the original Captain America? That was one of the first movies made from comics……

The Punisher had some good elements and bad ones too, if i remember correctly Frank's family was killed by gang crossfire or something not by a gangleader. Travolta did a pretty terrible job i think, his acting was stiff but then again i think it was poorly written character. The guy who played frank did a pretty good job. as far as directly from the comics, the Joan Blumpo Dave thing is from the newer Garth Ennis written story but the Punisher fighting the people who killed his family is way off. I also think the punisher should have been more violent and bloody but thats just because i think the Garth Ennis treatment of punisher was perfect and his was crazy with the gore.

The first TMNT movie was taken almost 90% from the early Eastman and Laird comics. Of course, the early comics were not at all "kid-friendly."

spiderman get way too much credit, and did i see 'history of violence' is a comic, not exactly your average comic book material

if he really thought spawn was that bad or the CGI was bad, he needs to go see other movies. i mean i never even read spawn before and i thought it was interesting enough to watch.

Batman Begins is way above the competition. It is an excellent movie, regardless of comic book origin.

Great ones (no particular order):
Sin City
Spiderman 1 and 2
Xmen 2 & 3
Batman
Batman Begins
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm

Bad:
MIB movies
Batman and Robin

OK:
Batman Forever (I hate what Schumacher did with the movies, but this movie was still fun)

you're incorrect. MiB 1 was fun, the second was weaker. I just watched blade trinity for the first time today. It was kind of terrible. They managed to make a dude killing vampires boreing and Ryan Renolds was annoying as hell
