Flythe has been a well known cycling name in the Raleigh area my entire life. I have always heard good things about this bike shop.

I still think Papa Flythe fucked up when he forgot the Sch in his kids name. It should be Schwinn, right?
5/12/2006 9:47:59 PM
Papa Flythe should slap the piss out of Winn. Looks like Winn is making daddy's business look like a bunch of assholes.Way to go posting personal information on the internet. Really classy!

The first thing I thought:WaterGuy created an account just to complain about the business. bikeman created an account just to complain about the customer. Personally I think it's all a joke. Some guy with too much time on their hands trying to play everyone for fools with a couple of aliases. Maybe not, but I'd feel better for the thread creator/creators if that was the case.[Edited on May 15, 2006 at 8:25 AM. Reason : -]

id say it was possible, but based on how things panned out it seems unlikely. alias's generally dont back down on their positions like waterguy.[Edited on May 15, 2006 at 8:26 AM. Reason : .]

True, and according to the Flythe website this Winn character will be taking over the business someday. I suppose someone could have found that name just as easy as I did but meh. Still, I'm just saying that it was the first thing that jumped in my mind.

TWW trying to ruin somebody's reputation?A LIKELY STORY!

If the customer is telling the truth, it is pretty aweful business practice to be arguementative toward a new customer. One they turned him away from future purchases, two... its a $300 bike. How much profit can they possibly be making? Be nice to the customer when they are buying their first low end bike (I'm in the process of looking for one myself) and if they get hooked they'll remember you when they come back in to buy that $800 bike.If the store is telling the truth... do a better test drive next time. If they still give you crap and you think you've been wronged... file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (http://www.bbb.com/).
