if we want free expression maybe we can consider opening a separate nudist colony tunnel
5/7/2006 11:03:40 PM
I agree, free expression tunnel should have been closed/movedpeople are disrespectful and will never keep the expression inside the paintable areas of the tunnelfinally something on our campus looks nice but dumbasses are going to fuck that up tooie - painting over the lights, good one! I always like walking through a semi-light tunnel, already covered in grafitti, the whole atmosphere is REALLY CLASSYand why are people painting the bricks? why? this is OUR campus, stop ruining it or making it look worse, the University has given us AMPLE parts of the tunnel to be painted. Why are you people so disrespectful!?!

i definitely don't think the free expression tunnel should be closed. but i wish people weren't such assholes about it.c'mon, why are you gonna paint the lights just b/c you know it's gonna happen? just say it... "OMG, how kewl would it be to tell all my buddies I sprayed the Free Expression lights. Before ANYONE else!!!! Omg, I'm so awesome."

someone already took a sharpie and crossed out the word "public" on the WPA sign and wrote "pubic"another reason why they need to move the sign

IF YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT THE FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION TUNNEL IS WHAT MAKES OUR CAMPUS LOOK LIKE GARBAGETHEN YOU'RE BLIND AND SHOULDN'T BE BOTHERED WITH IT ANYWAY.SUP HARRELSON.
5/8/2006 11:24:26 AM
walked in it todaynoticed the spray paint on the lights and immediately thought that people on tww bitch to god damn much- its hardly any at all and definitely would still light up the tunneli didnt think it was as big as it was, the area seems so vast, idk i guess it will take a while to grow on memaybe they just thought about the design too hard
5/8/2006 11:26:07 AM
as a visitor to your campusthe free expression tunnel was one of the things i was most impressed withi'm glad it is open again

i love the new tunnel and what they've done with the surroundings. the walkway on the North Campus side is bigger and everything around it is beautiful. i really would like to see the paint kept within the tunnel. don't paint over the plaque or on the brick. the University gave us this huge area to express ourselves (how many other schools have a free expression anything?), and all they ask is keep it in that vicinity. people keep complaining about how they need to beautify the campus more. well here's one case in which the university did a great job, and more than likely the same fuckers complaining about more campus beauty are the ones painting outside the given area.
5/8/2006 6:39:24 PM
its probably less than likely
5/8/2006 6:45:31 PM
yea, it's probably just the same old fucktards
5/8/2006 8:04:30 PM
for once i agree with Guth, the tunnel IS the free expression tunnel.. it's some place we can paint whatever the heck we feel like and people will see it... and it won't get painted over regularly by campus people... one of the few things besides parking tickets that school employees are on spot for...painting the lights however isn't the best idea, because i like being able to see what's been painted, lol...
5/8/2006 8:18:34 PM
i think its a great thing and not many universities have something similar. stop being uptight bitches.
5/8/2006 8:22:13 PM
5/8/2006 8:34:44 PM
this isnt just maintaining the status quoits preserving something that has become a tradition, something that many students enjoy
5/8/2006 8:43:54 PM
that would be the humor im guessin
5/8/2006 8:55:43 PM
there is that, and also the fact that 30 years before her "fantasy glory days of yore," someone broke traditions and status quo to create the "fantasy glory days of yore" campus.
5/8/2006 8:58:14 PM
if there wasn't a free expression ___________, graffiti'd run rampant, and all those historical buildings would be defaced. so even if you don't like graffiti, you should still support a single place to put it all.
