I got 1500, RR, and DVR for $85 or something. Pretty much the same deal + $5 for the DVR.
5/6/2006 11:42:11 PM
ya 'im the same. had 1000, called to cancel, got free hbo for cheaper, kept it then cancelled it after roommate moved out.
5/6/2006 11:44:48 PM
Time Warner sucks, I wanted to put a bullet through the head of the TWO, count them, TWO service reps they had to send to our house on one day to fix a fucking non-working box. And you know what they did? They ghetto'd our shit up. They ran a temp line out the back door and into the main box outside. THE BOX IS STILL NOT WORKING...skips, and it is ridiculous. We're moving in like 2 weeks...and i'm telling you, we will not be doing TWC, we already had to cancel their internet because road runner is shit (Bellsouth Fast Access DSL is the way to go at 19.99 a month)..and I think we'll be getting some sort of sattelite system, so if anyone has any suggestions, that'd be great!
5/7/2006 11:15:00 AM
^ guess you don't download any big files
5/7/2006 3:31:39 PM
Our files download in like .5 seconds now. I downloaded 18 movies in like 10 mins yesterday.
5/7/2006 3:33:53 PM
I pay for cable internet. I use an antenna for local TV, and the interwebs for anything on cable TV. Saves me about 500$/yr.
5/7/2006 5:19:16 PM
okay i have cable w/ no box right now and my dad called last week and the guy told us that we couldn't get the deal...wtf???
5/7/2006 9:14:01 PM
honestly its not really that much of a "deal"
5/7/2006 9:15:40 PM
josh its gonna save me about $15/month right now....after hte 6 months deal thing our bill went high
5/7/2006 9:18:13 PM
nvm[Edited on May 7, 2006 at 9:22 PM. Reason : .]
5/7/2006 9:19:56 PM
with what company?
5/7/2006 9:20:29 PM
the one with road runner
5/7/2006 9:20:57 PM
how do you pay $15 for it??? i pay like $95 for the stuff..and im getting pissed off w/ paying for it
5/7/2006 9:22:17 PM
wireless routers and shit
5/7/2006 9:23:41 PM
I might have to look into this. I started at about $70 a month six months ago for basic cable (no box....not HBO, etc) and roadrunner. My bill the other day was $98 and steadily rises about $5 per bill. I'm about to call time warner and threaten to cancel. It's getting ridiculous. I have basic cable for christ sakes, and I'm paying $100 for it and a fucking router (1 computer hooked up... that's it)[Edited on May 8, 2006 at 12:03 AM. Reason : ]
5/8/2006 12:03:40 AM
All of you getting reamed by time warner are idiots.I've promo hopped with them in every place I've ever lived. The most we've ever paid was HD+DVR+RR, were the first batch that got the HD DVR service, and STILL only paid like 115 a month.
5/8/2006 12:19:17 AM
God DAMNIT Noen is God.
5/8/2006 7:21:49 AM
how long does the deal last?
5/8/2006 10:56:35 AM
nvm[Edited on May 8, 2006 at 11:27 AM. Reason : .]
5/8/2006 10:59:06 AM
Noen is right. All you gotta do it call and tell them either they lower your price or youll switch to another service.I called them, told them hey either you lower my monthly bill (formerly ~95 bucks for basic cable and roadrunner) or im switching services. nothing personal i just cant afford 95 bucks. They dropped the bill 20 bucks, but with fees and crap my new monthly total is ~80 bucks.Trust me, all you gotta do is call, be firm, and say if you dont lower my bill, ill leave.
5/8/2006 11:01:02 AM
i have a digital cable box. is there a difference for a DVR box? or are they the same?
5/8/2006 11:11:52 AM
DVR lets your recordthe contract he gives you says the rate is locked in for 12 months
5/8/2006 11:23:11 AM
i know the DVR lets you record, but is the box the same as the digital cable box?
5/8/2006 11:26:35 AM
fuck TWC
5/8/2006 11:30:33 AM
i love how "cheap" means "the most we could reasonably charge you, minus about 20 bucks"
5/8/2006 11:39:24 AM
is there any way I can get this deal? I dont have a box at all so it technically is upgrading[Edited on May 8, 2006 at 11:44 AM. Reason : d]
5/8/2006 11:43:40 AM

5/8/2006 11:45:00 AM

5/8/2006 11:46:30 AM

5/8/2006 11:48:29 AM

5/8/2006 11:56:54 AM
you can opt out and it just won't come on in your room
5/8/2006 12:12:45 PM
for the last 1.5 years, i pay $91.86 for HD, DVR, On Demand in the den, then basic cable and internet for 3 rooms.
5/8/2006 1:43:29 PM

5/8/2006 1:46:28 PM
