anyone going to see it tonight?

just saw it. i am probably one of the more avid movie fans out there and after seeing this, it is more than just a reprint of what happened. paul greengrass is a fairly unknown director, but after this film, people will know who he is; it leaves that much of an impression. this movie was the most intense film i have ever seen. the last 20 minutes, i found myself on the edge of my seat clenching my fists, wanting to be apart of what these people were fighting for. i could only hope that if i was in a position such as this, that i would have the courage and will power to do what these people did. it was fucking incredible.

There was a "Flight 93" move on A&E the other night and we were wondering if it was the same one and released like Bubble was, although we doubted it, especially with the acting we saw in it. It was done in 2006. I found it interesting that here was this movie already out about it, but no one seems to know (probably because what I saw wasn't very good), and so I would consider that one more of an exploitation than something where the director got permission and is donating proceeds toward the families of the passengers.I may be waiting until United 93 is on DVD to watch it, but I'm not sure. So far it's gotten really good reviews, so I may do a matinee.

I saw this movie here in NYC Sunday afternoon.I've never had a movie slam me emotionally like this one. Not a dry eye in the theater, thats for sure. Deadly silent too.I highly recommend this movie to anyone, to help remember what (more or less) happened that day. I won't be seeing it again for a long time, if ever. Too much to handle...

flight 93 was most likely shot down imo. i'm no conspiracty theorist and don't believe that there were any WTC conspiracies, but all the shit about flight 93 makes me think we fucked that shit up before it headed to warshington

^ I'm with you, action movie stuff like that just doesn't happen in real life, I'll believe the story when they can prove that John McClane was on 93.
5/2/2006 9:54:44 PM
^^I wonder that as well. But don't they have confirmation from people that the passengers called, that they were at least planning on fighting the terrorists?
5/2/2006 10:55:40 PM
ya i think so.but from the pictures and shit from the wreckage (once again i can't prove anything b/c this is info gathered from salisbury boy fag type places) shit just doesn't add up compared to almost all otehr plane crashes.who knows, we'll find out in 30 years or so probably by the way, should i go see this?[Edited on May 7, 2006 at 1:51 PM.
