no way Sean takes over for a program that pretty much ran his old boss off....
4/1/2006 8:32:06 PM

4/1/2006 8:33:27 PM

it is official goodbye herb, try better at asu beat that mediocracy
4/1/2006 8:36:49 PM
As I suggested in the other threadName's noone has mentioned yetMike Brey - Notre DameBilly Gillespie - TX A&MTom Brennan - Former Vermont CoachPat Flannery - BucknellDana Altman - CreightonI still prefer Nolan Richardson
4/1/2006 8:39:33 PM
I say FUCK NO to the Notre Dame guy.one of our herb complaints was not winning close games, which is pretty much Mike Brey's forte(losing close games).[Edited on April 1, 2006 at 8:42 PM. Reason : fds]
4/1/2006 8:41:35 PM
Hahahaha, Nolan Richardson, I'm sure he'll come.Because State is WAY less racist than Arkansas.
4/1/2006 8:43:15 PM
I suggested Brey for 2 reasons. 1) his/my Delaware ties and 2)he's a Duke grad/former assistant with major experience.Richardson has wanted another job for years. Hell, he's coaching Panama's national team now. You don't think he's listen? I think state needs someone with his kind of big persona and name if they have any hopes of being lower than the red headed bastard stepchild to Duke/UNC in the area.[Edited on April 1, 2006 at 8:44 PM. Reason : NR]
Larranega??
4/1/2006 8:43:36 PM
NOLAN RICHARDSON?fuck no
4/1/2006 8:44:06 PM
John Fox?
4/1/2006 8:44:32 PM
^we'd definitely be more physical[Edited on April 1, 2006 at 8:45 PM. Reason : haha]
4/1/2006 8:44:57 PM
David Thompson!!!!! or Bobby Knight [Edited on April 1, 2006 at 8:56 PM. Reason : .]
4/1/2006 8:54:59 PM
i said it in the other threadi'll say it againarchie miller
4/1/2006 9:04:01 PM
i wonder how long bob knight will go before retiringi know he isn't deathly old but he's up there
4/1/2006 9:04:12 PM
tom crean
4/1/2006 9:05:39 PM
What about Marquette's coach?
4/1/2006 9:05:52 PM
Bob Knight's got to be a joke. Although I'd love for him to beat Dean's record at NC State... he'd probably collapse at halftime the next game and die of old age. He's like pushing 70 isn't he?
4/1/2006 9:05:58 PM
gosh bob knight coming here would be so cooltoo bad it'll NEVER happen
4/1/2006 9:06:02 PM
i mean, watching Knight School, he still looks apt for coaching, but the hair is getting whiter and whiter
4/1/2006 9:06:48 PM
4/1/2006 9:06:50 PM
oh nevermind
4/1/2006 9:07:02 PM
knight is only 65
4/1/2006 9:07:35 PM
That's pretty old...especially to be walking into a program
4/1/2006 9:08:15 PM
The ONLY reason I would want Knight here is so he could break Deans record and do it at State. Other than that I don't see a legit reason for him being here. He's way past his prime. He's a cartoon of Bobby Knight.
4/1/2006 9:08:36 PM
there is also beilein although you guys might be sick of the princeton offense by nowbut at least the players would be familiar
4/1/2006 9:08:39 PM
John Calipari all the way
4/1/2006 9:09:23 PM
he could throw his own coffin on the court
4/1/2006 9:10:16 PM
belien can suck a dick with his princeton shit.
4/1/2006 9:10:32 PM
Calipari or Pearl would be my co-#1's. We have a small shot with Calipari, IMO. No shot with Pearl after the extension
4/1/2006 9:11:13 PM
you guys think i'm joking about archie milleri'm really not, i think he'd be a great head coach. he's got a lot of potential.
4/1/2006 9:11:49 PM
Archie nor Sean will coach at a school that pretty much ran their good friend/old coach/old boss off.
4/1/2006 9:12:37 PM
I went to the ECU/Memphis game and Calipari was pretty fun to watch from 2 rows behind the memphis bench. He once got a ref's attention and magically stopped the game all by himself. no timeout or anything. ECU was just taking the ball up the court and calipari was like "WTF(in other words, I have no idea what he said)" and the ref stopped the game. media timeout. and it was after a made basket so it's not like it was sposed to be a media timeout. magic[Edited on April 1, 2006 at 9:13 PM. 4/1/2006 9:12:42 PM
As I posted in another thread. Check out the Memphis board. They say that Calipari interviewed for the Oklahoma job the other day
4/1/2006 9:14:08 PM
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo come to the acc, fuck the sooners
4/1/2006 9:15:05 PM
god damn i hope we don't hire sampson
4/1/2006 9:15:25 PM
^^If that's even true (Even though it makes no sense, basketball-wise, really)... I'd like to think that if he had the choice and we pursued him.... he'd come here.[Edited on April 1, 2006 at 9:16 PM. Reason : ]

archie miller is a cunt
4/1/2006 9:19:04 PM
4/1/2006 9:19:55 PM
lee fowler and company need to think about who they will be hiring, and then think whether the decision will result in a resounding laugh, or uncomfortable pause of silence
4/1/2006 9:21:03 PM
The only thing I'm worried about with this scenario is that Lee Fowler will be making the decision on who to hire.
4/1/2006 9:21:56 PM
Why not hire Iona's coach? Worked well for us last time...
4/1/2006 9:22:06 PM
It will result in a resounding laugh, or an uncomfortable pause of silence. Possibly both.[Edited on April 1, 2006 at 9:22 PM. Reason : .]
4/1/2006 9:22:29 PM
or a reaction similar to that that followed the announcement any NY Jets draft pick ever.
4/1/2006 9:22:43 PM
nolan richardson, plz
4/1/2006 9:23:11 PM
what about johnny dawkins? i think we can throw enough money at him, hes not gonna get a chance to coach at duke for another 20 years
4/1/2006 9:23:22 PM
espn should be the one to announce the pick and have cameras with the RBC Center packed with ncsu fans (commence some joke about empty seats) and show the reaction to the announcement
