if you are going to breed the dog, the best thing to do it look stud service, so you can get a guarantee on the breeding, most likely best temperment, not just a superfically healthy stud, etc.

^ all of that i know... i know that they were originally used as hounds, because the oldest material that they have on the dogs are paintings of them hunting. and if you think you opinion carries more weight, i don't care, i just know that i my opinion can be backed-up. anyway, i am more breed specific, so you can be too. 2 years, or six years is not that much difference, in terms of knowledge gained on the job at a vet clinic, since it is repetative in nature , eg blood collection, seeing the same group of patients, etc, etc and you mention professional capacity, i worked at a vet clinic and a research lab... are those not professional capacities? maybe not, but oh well, i guess i am an idiot. please go back and read the thread good before pwning yourself again. for the people who think "if I raise my dog right they will be fine," you need to think again...the way a dog is bread is just as important, if not more important, than the specifics of raising it...my uncle has owned two rottweilers as long as I have been alive and he always get his dogs from a championship line. He does months and months of research to find the best dogs by the best breeders... In fact, he is flying to Germany later in the year to pick up his newest rottweiler from a renowned breeder who only breeds with championship lines... it is like making a cake... you need all of the ingredients and conditions to be perfect for the cake to come out right...

instead of looking for homes for unborn pits why don' you find some shelter dogs homes. I don't even know where to start. Please don't breed your pit bull. If you have to breed your dog to see the miracle or birth then you should have to visit an animal control facility and watch an unwanted puppy be euthanized. Either lethal injection or the gas chamber. The gas chamber is a horrible and cruel death. PLEASE DON'T BREED YOUR DOG! IT IS SOOO STUPID!

I just want to say that breeding expensive dogs is just another way to appeal to a certain market and make profit for yourself. It's like saying "you shouldn't bake yourself a cake, there's poor girl scouts on Western selling cakes as a non-profit fund raising event".So let the person breed his/her dog if they choose to. Yes, there's poor dogs in shelter. People who can afford full-blooded Pits don't give a rat's ass.[Edited on March 3, 2006 at 1:36 PM. Reason : .]

I just don't believe in making money off of animals. Tell the 4 "potential" homes you have for the unborn puppies to refer to this site. http://search.petfinder.com/search/search.cgi?tmpl=1&breed=Pit+Bull+Terrier&animal=Dog&preview=1http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/NC285.html[Edited on March 3, 2006 at 1:48 PM.
