well, i thought the steelers might take sinorice moss with their first pick, until i read this:
2/27/2006 6:11:38 PM
^three seems low for drew this yearmaybe the owens thing hurt his credibility and image a bitonly 2 out of 11 of the canes at the combine too....drew may be in a slump
2/27/2006 6:16:07 PM
of course the owens thing hurt his credibility, how is that even a question?i would be very reluctant to deal with him if i were an NFL team right nowi liked the idea of the steelers drafting moss too, so that's a shame.[Edited on February 27, 2006 at 6:20 PM. Reason : ]

Wow, we are killin kids with this Duo, gotta be the best DE combo in college historyi wonder if a team will be lucky enough to get them both, doubt it but imagine that
2/27/2006 6:37:50 PM
manny's stock has to be skyrocketing right now
2/27/2006 6:42:54 PM
Is anyone surprised? He should end up as a top-20 pick before its all said and done.
2/27/2006 6:52:12 PM
Top-10 easy.
2/27/2006 7:00:30 PM
I hope you're right but I think you're wrong.Not a whole lotta teams picking in the top 10 play a 3-4 D.
2/27/2006 7:12:33 PM
Vernon Davis ran a 4.37. Good God.That's faster than every reciever at the combine, and the guy's 250 lbs.
2/27/2006 7:13:04 PM
Vernon Davis is as much of a freak of nature and Mario and Manny. The kid is sick.
2/27/2006 7:22:23 PM
mario williams at what 270 has a 40 inch vertical....insane[Edited on February 27, 2006 at 7:37 PM. Reason : k]
2/27/2006 7:37:24 PM
sounds like Boss Bailey
2/27/2006 7:42:01 PM
mario is more like 290-300, now thats insane
2/27/2006 7:59:32 PM
thats more then prob 80% of the nba
2/27/2006 8:17:09 PM
2/27/2006 8:33:08 PM
manny will hopefully go in the first round, definitely not top 10 though
2/27/2006 9:05:34 PM
2/27/2006 9:10:24 PM
How much did Manny weigh?
2/27/2006 9:56:46 PM
will teams want mario to maybe drop 7 to 10 lbs. for the nfl?? 297 is pretty heavy and his numbers as far as jumps, quicks, etc. could improve just a little maybe if he was say 287-290maybe not, i am just wondering what yall think
2/27/2006 9:59:36 PM
^^ 247, I believe
2/27/2006 10:01:20 PM
I dont know... at 6'7 i think they'll like him at 300.In general, the heavier the better as long as its not affecting your speed/quickness too much.In Mario's case it doesnt seem to be hampering any in those departments...He's not a pure speed rusher like a Jevon Kearse so i dont really expect him to produce huge numbers his rookie year... he's gonna have to learn technique because strength/speed alone wont make you an impact player as a rookie DE. I'd guess he puts up 6-8 sacks next year and makes the all-rookie team...
2/27/2006 10:03:42 PM
2/27/2006 10:30:15 PM
ya mario is def top ten, and the guy with the mega-lithsp on the nfl network covering the combine projected mario to go top 5. comparing him to Jpep.
2/27/2006 11:18:11 PM
on the NFL site it said Mario has solidified himself as a top 4 pick. I still think he goes #5 but hey the higher the better.
2/27/2006 11:38:24 PM
i don't know, there is a lot of talent this year. but, we'll see.
2/27/2006 11:50:22 PM
In a lot of drafts Mario would go #1, #2, or #3...he's just a bit unlucky to be coming out the same year as a freakish RB and two of the best QB prospects in the past decade.
2/28/2006 8:24:17 AM
Dang, when did Mario pass Manny in vertical leap? I thought Manny was easily beat him in the vertical, that's very impressive for Mario.
2/28/2006 8:32:16 AM
^^3 of the best quarterback prospects in a while.....Cutler is flying up the draft board of most teams and will probably go as a top 5 pick now
2/28/2006 9:03:29 AM
just got this quote from the Southern Cal message boards"Said he has fielded some questions about being born cross-eyed, and the surgery to correct it as a child."This was referring to Matt Leinart. Do NFL teams really care that much about something that stupid? What do they think; that his eyes are going to go cross-eyed again and ruin his career??

did not miss one, and had some time left in the 5 minutesthat shit is not that bad, but i can see how football players that are stressed out and thought they were done with school shit could do shitty on that test, especially with a time crunch
2/28/2006 11:38:50 AM
The only question I had trouble with was #11. Those questions were pretty easy. I can't be lieve that the best score ever for a QB was 39 out of 50.
2/28/2006 11:49:52 AM
yeah, try taking those after your heart is racing like a horse
2/28/2006 12:00:06 PM
also, we only get to see 15 of the questions. If more of the last 35 are like number 11 then time would probably become an issue for most of us
2/28/2006 12:15:37 PM
Also, you've got dollar signs dancing around your head, hehe.

not sure if this was said because I skipped to the end... but a lot of the discussion focus'd on the fact that a lot of agents dont even impress upon draft guy's the importance of the test. They said a lot fo times people just sit in the room for the 12 minutes and laugh, This could be why people are getting 0-6's.I can't imagine any human being that can speak english trying their hardest and only getting 6 right.most of them dont realize people give a shit about this test.ps it's 50 questions in 12 minutes.oh and ... OH MY Manny Lawson NC State 4.43 [Edited on February 28, 2006 at 1:33 PM. Reason : so I know who not to make angry when a quick getaway is a possibility]

2/28/2006 1:42:08 PM
2/28/2006 1:43:42 PM
i guess the manner in which he made it through those years is being called into question
2/28/2006 1:46:54 PM
"that's not really the point.the point is that young's agent is bragging about a 16 when most of us took 2-3 minutes on the first 15 questions and missed maybe 1.That means over the next 10 minutes we'd have to succesfuly navigate 1 more question to tie. This is what people are concerned about."got ya....i was just referring to the comment about how the best score ever was a 39 by a qb.question: could something like this really hurt VY's draft stock that much???? how much is this taken into account?
2/28/2006 1:53:04 PM
cold pizza yesterday ? said it could possibly drop him out of the top 10... like the saidof all the positions on the field you dont want a moron playing, QB is it.
