2/25/2006 11:58:59 PM
i would love to have Gary coach at Statei would disown Herb if we could get him...him or Spud Webb
2/26/2006 12:00:03 AM
Gary...Williams?I'd rather die than see Gary "Fuck shit damn ass bitch" Williams as an NC State head coach.
2/26/2006 12:01:17 AM
back to the topic though...somebody asked a question about Brackman's situation and it has been unanswered for over an hour. it is the "stickey"ed thread at the top over therewonder why somebody won't answer it.....
2/26/2006 12:02:44 AM
i always thought it would be cool to have a t-shirt saying my team went to the orange bowl (btw, theyre like 4th on my list...out of 4 )
2/26/2006 12:03:18 AM
so apparently Herb didn't let Brackman play in the OT's because he's a shitty coachriiiight....
2/26/2006 11:42:56 AM
theres no way he could be a 50+ packprider you know...he never used "chopping wood" in a dispariging way to talk about herb. same goes for "daytight compartments". i never got why those were bad statements.

Kruk,They have guidelines, read them, seriously that will answer your questions. You can't insinuate something about a player/coach without facts, AKA no venting where it personally attacks a player unless it's true with proof, and no you're neighbor/co-worker-brother in law is not proof. For instance, over here, you could say that after the G tech game, there's no way a basketball player with a full set of chromosomes could not know how much time is left while simultaneously forgetting how many points his team trails by in the clutch, therefore he must be shaving points....Over there, nope. You could comment on a player or coach if you support it with facts, like a coach is not up to par because and list why, or you could say a player is not performing and list some stats to back it up, but no spouting off...
2/26/2006 12:34:35 PM
is that REALLY the casebecause vcouldcoach, packphins#, and others seem to ALWAYS spout off without anything to support their Herb hate

The only thing I don't understand over there, and this may be just a simple lacking on my part of the college bball landscape (or maybe a bit of bias in me) is WHY WHY WHY do they all think Rick Pitino or Jay Wright would up and leave big time programs in basketball rich recruiting areas to come to State??Louisville is at the very least as decorated a program as State (the argument can easily be made in their favor for longevity) and in the midst of majorly upgrading their facilities and Villanova is in one of the most rich recruiting areas in the country. These guys have it absolutely made at their respective schools currently.Bruce Pearl is really the only guy of what most would consider the Top 10 coaches that I would think would actually think of leaving his school to come here should Herb be canned. I think Barnes would be out of his mind to leave Texas...There is absolutely ZERO point to firing Herb Sendek unless we can realistically get someone who is an actual upgrade..[Edited on February 27, 2006 at 9:54 AM. We won't fire Herb...nor do we have the grounds to unless the program comes to a screeching halt over the next 3-4 years and we become stuck in a rutWe could get Pearl (My #1 choice, easily, if given a short leash)We could possibly/maybe still get Barnes, but we may have missed our chance. (He will always be #2 at Texas and can't draw the fans he would here, but he also has a top 5 program with an unlimited budget and free reign on the State of Texas prospects)No way in Hell could we get Pitino. Dumbest idea ever. You're right...L'ville is every bit the program we are. Actually, we're eerily similar historically...And before someone says Mark Few, we couldn't get him either. He's not leaving[Edited on February 27, 2006 at 10:01 AM. Reason : ]

we should get Bob Valvanoprobably just as qualified as Jim was when he was hired at State
2/27/2006 10:01:48 AM
hire anyone who will fucking YELL when the refs, players, fans, other coaches, water boy, towel boy, ANYONE, fucks up.
2/27/2006 10:08:13 AM
Lou Pinella for coach!!!I just suggested Earl Weaver on packpride. Wonder if I'll get banned on my first post in like 2 or 3 months..V I added Spreewell. I bet he would choke a bitch..[Edited on February 27, 2006 at 10:14 AM. Reason : f]

we need someone to be able to command respect from the refs, players, fans, university brass, and other teams.and someone who can inspire these kids to WIN A BIG GAMEherb will never be able to do these things.for the last 4 years we had hodge out there to get everyone fired up. but now, we got nothin
2/27/2006 10:21:39 AM
^I think that's a key point here. I know a lot of ppl like to hate on Hodge for his sometimes out-of-control play and that he tried to carry games on his shoulders, but the fact is that kid had heart. Plain and simple. We need that motivator. Just look at the UNC game(s) - where was the fire? Sure as hell wasn't coming from Herb.

well NYMWright is only being paid 1 mill a year, so people over there think we may have a chance because of the Brinks truck we are backing up for Barnesif you read closely most people over there are realistinc that Barnes/Calipari/Wright/Pitino/Tubby are all long shotsI think Hendu put them all at "slight to zero" as the chances of them coming herepeople are simply talking about those guys, because hell it is their university and the thought of a big name coach is very exciting, i also think the sheer # of big time guys mentioned has made people think that there is a chance of getting 1 out of the 5 lets say, so when conversation breaks down to the individual coach people associate what they think is a high probability of landing a "big name" with that individual coach (its just excitement) remember the Herb cork has been stoppin up the intensity in wolfpack B-ball for a decade, so forgive those who are a bit over zealous....nobody is trashing your beloved Big East here, everyone knows it is the best conference in hoops right now, even though it is the size of the NBA![Edited on April 6, 2006 at 4:54 PM. ^^ haha I wrote that like 2 months ago. I'd kill for Wright to come here though I still don't see it as a possibility.
