^^you've got to understand the officiating mentality....believe it or not....we don't want to call foulswhen mike wood called the out-of-bounds....he thought he saw tony's foot out-of bounds when he touched the ball....in a split second he thinks here is a chance to clean up this messas for the block / charge.....how often do you see someone running with their head turned, receive the ball, turn their head, and immediately run into someone? this normally happens in the post and during a press, and when they see someone is there, they shuffle their feet. if a foul is not obvious, the next most common call is a walk.i guess i should disclose my credentials....i've officiated high school in the area for 4 years, done the last 3 bob gibbons tournaments, and officiated a few college scrimmages. i even started in nc state intramurals, which you guys should try if you think you can call everything from the stands.[Edited on March 1, 2006 at 5:36 PM. Thats great, but if you didnt see the guy go out of bounds... you should not call him out of bounds.Ever.

yeah...but referees would loose ALL credibility if they blew their whistles and then said "my bad"....
