Of course I did.

No Lights and Siren -- the cop sees the lanes ahead of him clear so he decides to proceed though with caution, which, by the way, he is trained to handle these types of situations. nobody in the opposing traffic lanes will see or hear an emergency vehicle so they won't go into a panic and slam on brakes causing the person behind them who is doing other things while supposed to be driving to slam into him."

My point is, if I hadn't been a safe driver, he would've hit me, plain and simple. It's not like he slowed down to check if the intersection was clear (this was middle of the day and busy), he just flew right through.

^I saw you on western the other day, looked like you might be heading to McDonalds... Ted tried calling to say hey we can see you, but you didn't pick up, so then I had some taco bell drive through.

And yeah, the cop was being irresponsible, but at least in Raleigh they are only slightly above the law. In Mt Airy it was not uncommon to see cops going twice the speed limit, only to slowly catch up to them later to see them eating at sonic, or pull over high schoolers after they go through non red lights and mess with them a little about running a red before letting them go, or just giving tickets to any one they feel like that always get thrown out b/c the cops didn't show up for court dates. The law gets even crazier the further back towards the mountains you go, with some crazy misogynist judges where "my husband beats me" isn't a good enough reason to be granted a divorce without all kinds of made up & unnecessary hoops to jump through.
