timothy's weekend and sedona weren't amazing. timothy's weekend did have one tight song though (opiate). sedona had some good songs i guess, but it was pretty obvious that they continually would rip off every band they discovered. first, they sounded like thursday. then they sounded like a thursday-radiohead mix. then they went for the straight on Radiohead sound with an edge. also, all the early annuals songs sounded really similar to bright eyes. but i guess it's cool to see them get as big as they are getting
12/12/2006 2:44:05 AM
well opiate is what i had in mind when i used the term "fucking amazing", haha

so hopesfall is finally done?
1/13/2008 2:44:15 AM
yep. they officially said it was done with 0 original members but they did put 2 new songs online before doing so heh. saskatchewan is actually a decent song, all the magnetic north era stuff sounds SO much like the deftones have sounded on their new material tho its weird.its weird. i was ready for this name to die for awhile just because of how much i LOVED the old hopesfall. but then when they actually said they were done...it was still kind of sad. weird.

1/13/2008 3:27:30 PM
haha my old manager at schoolkids (travis) used to talk about felix the drum machine, he was into it what was that really shitty SRHS nu-metal band that erik blum and others were in? i remember seeing them play at southeast once, terrible decision on my partthough probably not as bad as The Nicofiends
1/13/2008 3:32:40 PM
haha the nicofiends any sanderson kids (~2002) remember the jam band that is now cast against character...can't remember what they were called back in the day[Edited on January 13, 2008 at 3:46 PM. Reason : ]
1/13/2008 3:45:42 PM
travis worked at rec-ex when we used to play there all the time...we did completely different shows every time, so i think that kept him entertained more than anythingerik's band was public diZtraction...i actually played lead guitar with them once for some unknown reasoni think the real SRHS winner is nikki glaspie, the drummer from our jazz band...she's beyonce's touring drummer and was on the cover of modern drummer magazine
