hell, even then it's the other way around. It's legal for them(by russian law), not for you as the purchaser.
2/17/2006 3:03:46 PM
oh well, quite frankly... i dont give a damn
2/17/2006 3:32:01 PM
yeah, i think the RIAA would have a pretty tough time doing anything to allofmp3.com or any of its customers.

wow, i didn't think digital music would have that significant a slice of the pie
4/7/2006 9:02:04 AM
I still wish there was an effective boycott that could be launched against the music industry to make them HURT for this shit.
4/7/2006 9:03:06 AM
i hope terrorists bomb the RIAA
4/7/2006 11:42:25 AM
someone convince peta that the riaa does horrific animal testing at their HQ and it will be firebombed in no time.

it's already spun too far out of control - people feel no real threat - the masses have spoken and the alternatives aren't appeasing enough yet
6/29/2006 11:47:21 AM
the RIAA is bound to implode if they keep this up
6/29/2006 12:46:23 PM
Not so long as there is an entire population kept dumb and unaware of "good" music and is subjected to clever marketing tactics making them want to keep buying this stuff.
6/29/2006 2:04:44 PM
people actually pay attention to the RIAA and the bullshit they spew? I only vaguely pay attention to what they are saying, because whatever it is, its usually just hot air. Not worth wasting thought cycles on.
6/29/2006 8:26:22 PM

I read the arstechnica article about the RIAA fighting independent review. I really hope the judge in this case isn't dumb enough to allow the RIAA to get there way. Otherwise it would set a precedent in the court system allowing the manufacturing of evidence against the other party. Now, I may be wrong, but that can't be a good thing.

http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/11/10/1319224A bit of good news ...
11/10/2006 12:22:47 PM
^ if that goes well, then the RIAA is thoroughly fucked with their "let's rape america" plan...if the average person they catch dl'ing illegal mp3s has, let's say, 2000 songs (i have no idea what the average is), that's only a $1400 fine...even if they add another $0.30 to the fine per song (which would be statutory damages of 43%), that's only $2000 fine (plus court costs)it'll be interesting to see what happens
11/10/2006 1:31:14 PM
RIAA? where is the J for Jew in that? I'm confused.
11/10/2006 3:19:20 PM
The populace will rise up and RIAA will be toppled to ashes.Remember Fight Club? Kind of like that except with RIAA instead of financial institutions.

You know what... an iPod has the capability to potentially carry unauthorized images, video, and audio recordings of me. Thus, the iPod was clearly designed as a tool to defame from me and nullify my ability to retain creative control over the use of my likeness and voice. Therefore, Apple, the creators of the iPod, clearly owe me a percentage of their sales.

In other news, Universal is also pushing to get paid for every sale Maxtor, Western Digital, Seagate, etc. make. I mean, 200GB hard drives are just repositories for stolen music and everyone knows it. It's time they get paid for it.
