If there were any boos they didn't come across on TV, although you could hear the fan's agitation everytime Gavin stood around in the backcourt with the ball.

they gave a check to the athletic department tonight for 16 million dollars. This money was raised by boosters, alum, and whoever else wanted to donate.

I took my $50 worth and put it towards "expressing my displeasure in Gavin" in the only way I knew how.

I earned it.

In response to the idea that Bennerman is our only clutch player, I'd say Bethel definitely is too. He won the GT game last year and he's always making key 3s to keep us in games.

booing him doesnt do any good but ruin his confidence. he is a good player and if the fans supported him more I think that he would have a more positive impact. Obviously herb is gonna play him so what good does it do to boo him.

With the litte bit that Fells played, it is clear to me that Fells deserves more PT. I'm not saying if he is better or worse than GG, but is apparent, he's earned the chance at some serious PT (i.e. 10-12 minutes a game). For instance, Fells actually stole the ball from the oppositon while playing on the ball defense, Which FSU did to us about 1000000 times, and his defense is the apparent problem. GG's court IQ and just "feel" for the game seem to be lacking. And I get a kick out of the comments made about GG's performance at Miami. He hit a wide open Jumper, made half his layups, and hit some free throws. I guess I'm too old fashioned to expect a guy to hit his layups and free throws. Forgive me for that...Fells will not learn on the sidelines. tonight was a good opportunity for him to play in the second half and possibly even get burned on defense, FSU's shot wasn't falling otnight, seemed a perfect opportunity for Fells to get his feet wet. And GG wasn't exactly playing offense or defense, oh wait, he did hit a layup and make some FT's, game MVP. But in another thread, I'll never boo anyone that wears the red and white.

^^I agree in theory.

but realistically, i think he has a much better player who plays the same position in Fells.

Its so difficult trying to pull for Gavin because he always seems to take 1 giant step forward but the follows it up with two steps back.

and i dont like watchin playas go backwards.

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM SAYING....gg

I agree. I think fells is probably better. He shows hustle. However, herb showed he is gonna play Gavin. I say if he plays him you should support him.

granted.....that tip in was the epitome of "over the back"

^^ yea, he scored 5 straight points and sparked like a 15-0 run by the pack. who cares about the airball and the foul as soon as he came off the bench, he was a little too excited and it took him a minute to get in the game

and for those of you talking about engin atsur, you can all shut up now. 19 pts and 8 assists and 3 steals with him getting 8 points in the final 16-0 run by the pack. So before you talk, why dont you watch some of our players play and see what they really do.

Do you just not like Fells, or like GG??? Because if you want to talk about missing shots or even layups, sheesh, and for fouls on both players check the box score. And if they had a stat for telegraphed passes, who'd lead that? And Fells made one of the more under control aggressive rebound finishes I've seen this year against a quality opponent.

Grant just needs to stop dribbling

Other than that he's a great basketball player

^^Give it a few games...Engin will be back to true game blowing form. This is not new...he's had random good games before and gone right back to sucking.

His D was nice tonight though.

i have this thing about having faith in the starters because they're the starters

and i have no blind faith in guys coming off the bench being treated like they deserve more than the starters

hahaha lets talk about Marcus Stone vs. Jay Davis !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know...there's probably a reason Fells isnt playing more. I just think he deserves a little more PT than he's getting, even if its just 5 minutes a game.

Starters ..I thought we were talking about GG and Fells here, I'm lost..i in no way think fells should start , but that he should be given 10-12 minutes next game.

guys who usually play vs guys who usually don't

same difference

Ben plays a little bit more than Courtney because obviously Herb thinks he's more useful

Fells will get his opportunity...when it's time

He'll be a great replacement for Cam. While Cam might fit our offense a little better, Fells is just as athletic and is a better ball handler. I'm a little worried about Fells' shot since his hand seems to be too far on the side of the ball, but he gets nice arc on it, so its probably fine.

if u're winning by a lot it makes sense to give freshmen playing time.. might as well help out things for the next sesason... fells should play over grant any day... bottom line grant doesnt fit w/ our style

It doesnt' matter how much we're winning by... it'll wind up being a close game.

Also, it's quite ridiculous how some NC State fans always think that bench players (basketball or football) think that David Thompson/Philip Rivers is sitting on the bench not getting any PT.

Fells isn't that good right now. His time will come. Grant, although not great, is better than Fells and is why he's playing. This is about as laughable as people swearing Greco would have been our savior last season. Gimme a break.

I think Herb should start Grant with Illian gone. But only so Brackman comes off the bench. He seems to play better off the bench rather than starting like he did today (he scored 1 point).

Grant is the only person on our team today that showed a passion to win. He gave it his all. He tried to get rebounds no one else did, tried to score when no one was stepping up. i wish rest of the team would show half the effort he does. Yet i still hear people in the crowd hating on him.

GO STATE!!!

He played way better than atsur. Atsur doesnt realize that a missed 3 in our offense is exactly the same as a turnover.
