Not a Seahawk fan, just like a fair game. I can't really do anything about being called a whiny bitch. I'd like to keep my job, but nice that you say that to me on a message board behind the monitor.Ya know, I'm going to try to play club football in the fall if we get a team together. Maybe I am a little whiny bitch. Maybe you can knock the ever-lovin' shit out of me. I'd like to play WR or DB. Should be some nice opportunities to find out if the old man has anything. Amazes me the lack of class most people in this world have. I make a post, right or wrong, and someone says shut the fuck up. If I said the game was fixed in a real conversation, would you tell me to shut the fuck up? I honestly don't know if game was fixed or not. I know it was horribly officiated and Seahawks got robbed of any chance to win the game. I honestly do believe the refs were on the take, but can't prove it. I think its naive to think that theres no way this could possibly happen, as most here seem to. Just close your eyes and pretend stuff like this never happens.

If refs were worth a shit, people wouldn't bitch about calls.

http://www.petitiononline.com/nfl12006/petition.htmlSeems like there are at least 3,000 other people that agree with me so far. I don't know who started this "petition" but it wasn't me.

Wow. An online petition?Hello, Credibility!Maybe instead of pointing all your fingers at the refs you should point a couple at your shitty TE.

Not a Seahawk fan. I'm a FOOTBALL fan. I don't like J Stevens but he caught one TD and set up another, until the ref called the phantom hold. I won't keep arguing. If you know anything about football, its pretty easy to see. This is a fairly ignorant crowd here. I do like the way that an online petition has no credibilty but the precious wolfweb apparently does.

jordanfromnj, thanks for posting that article. That sums up exactly how I feel. Great article.

thought occured to me as i was driving this morningmaybe the refs subconsciously were over compensating for the bad calls in the Indy game--they are human after all. and obviously it was different officials at this game than that onne, but i get the feeling that the entire corps or refs got an earful before the SB making calls.

and if you know any fucking thing about football you would know that there wouldnt be a fix for the biggest game of the yearnow please, i will stress it againSHUT THE FUCK UP

The only really bad call was the holding call on Locklear. Replays more or less showed there was no penalty there. But then again, he did graduate from NC State, so I can't blame the ref for assuming The offensive pass interfence was the right call, I just wish he'd called it a bit sooner.
2/6/2006 11:59:48 AM
By the way, blame the Seahawks kicker for taking 6 points off of the board and giving Pittsburgh great field position on two drives and the Seahawks for lousy clock management at the end of the second half and the end of the game. Absolutely horrible. No need to blame the officials.
2/6/2006 12:02:22 PM
Not to mention blame them for not defending a trick play the Steelers have run at least twice this season that I can remember. Every person in the room with me knew Randle El was gonna throw that ball the moment it got into his hands.

man this is steelers bandwagon central. There were some calls that shouldnt have been made in the game. The Jackson "push" wasnt a push it was just putting his hands there to see where the defender was, Moss and Rice did it on every TD. And it seemed like to me that every big play the Seahawks had was offsetted by a penalty. And that call on Hasselbeck for the chop block was pathetic bc he missed. I would be very pissed if i was a seahawks fan.

This is kinda all over ESPN.com, so I don't think it is just one person bitching about the refs. I don't like either team, but Seattle did get fucked
2/6/2006 3:52:46 PM
And having to endure the Stones was the worst experience of my life. Id rather listen to a toilet flush...

Um that game was horribly officiated and the Seahawks DEFINITELY got fucked by the refs on multiple occasions.I dont think the game was "fixed", but I definitely subscribe to the fact that the refs ultimately had a big part in the outcome. You are nuts if you think the Seahawks got a fair shake in that game.
