no way. how many times did bush change direction in the backfield to pick up yards. 0 . all his yards came from hitting the sideline and outrunning the d(with hella hella block). he may have made defesnes like ucla fresno and washington look retarded but give me a break. those ds are some of the worst in college. bush gets the ball and the hole where the play is going is open. allowing him into the secondary where he can make guys miss. he cant escape lbs and des. it was shown alot tonight. he'll be a heck of a slot man shotgun back and return man
1/5/2006 1:41:18 AM
reggie bushruns up the middle. stops. looks for the sidelineHe did this all night. He did this all seasonHe will make a great reciever/ special teams . Thats all im saying. Not this great Rb the whole nation created him to be. Deangelo williams and other shunned GREAT rbs will be excellent in the pros
1/5/2006 1:44:40 AM
Look its this simple. If BUsh plays 12 games or more he's gonna break 1,000 yards next year.If he plays 16 games he's gonna get 1,500 yards and i dont give a fuck if he's a Texan, Jet, or on an Arena League team. The ONLY way he could possibly be held under 1,000 yards is if he's on a team coached by Mike Martz.
1/5/2006 1:44:59 AM
1000 yds with that texan o-line??? only way he gets this next year is if he has 1000 carries. And he prolly still come up short.
1/5/2006 1:50:58 AM
Domanick Davis didnt have much trouble running behind Houstons oline. He had 976 yards in 11 games, dude.Is Dom Davis that much better than Reggie Bush?Yeah they suck at pass blocking, but Reggie BUsh would get 1,000 easy in Houston.... no questionthis is a clown ass thread.[Edited on January 5, 2006 at 1:53 AM. ^^ I am soooo glad that Im not the only one who knows the truth!!!!He isnt even the nations leading rusher. But hes the best ever?!?!?!?!?![Edited on January 5, 2006 at 1:55 AM. Reason : .]

^^^^ Getting 1000 yards in the NFL isnt that special. With a 16 game season all u need is 62.5 yards per game. is u get the ball 20 times a game u can run for an average of like 3 yards per carry and still get 1000 yards on the season.
1/5/2006 1:56:07 AM
um yeah i know that.Thats why I said he'd get 1,500 if he played all 16 games. He could get 1,000 yards with his eyes closed.
1/5/2006 1:58:36 AM
If vince isn't the first pick...people are just stupid. We seen what this man can do tonight against the sportscenters/nations/tww dickriders best team EVER. He abused them. This man was robbed of the Heisman, but he made EVERYONE feel his wrath. As oppose to some overrated RB who calculates his all purpose yds to give hype. Bush is good man. But the media just built him up more than what he really is. He really is a good Rb, in college. thats all he is. face it. I know it hurts right now.[Edited on January 5, 2006 at 2:01 AM. Reason : .]

theone is just a Texas homer. In April Bush goes #1. Also Bush played well tonight I thought. IF he doesn't fumble that pitch USC prolly goes up big and wins.
1/5/2006 2:08:04 AM
wtf are uuuuuuuuuuuu talking about? I already own you from a while back . Bush got handled tonight. And he didnt have 500 yds. Get off RAllys dick..oh but i forgot that is what you do. Since Packbacker aint here, your gonna saddle up on Rally. That make since!! I aint mad at ya.oh i fuckin hate G. Bush btw[Edited on January 5, 2006 at 2:09 AM. 1/5/2006 2:11:06 AM
when its draft time, Bush still goes #1only a few offenses Young can fit into as a runner/passerLeinhart, Bush and White can all go somewhere without a problem and fit in the moment they get there.

These threads always crack me up. Usually the player they are made about actually has a bad game but I guess this thread is special..
1/5/2006 8:03:32 AM
Reggie Bush had one bad game in 2.5 years and you're saying he's not a pro-level RB?you've gotta be joking me...Texas was gunning for him all night, they made it their mission to shut down Bush and force White and Leinart to beat them (which they couldn't do)... once Bush gets into the open field his ability to change direction and confuse defensive players is unparalleled at the college level, and will still be at the top at the pro level...
1/5/2006 8:04:49 AM
Funny part is that Bush didn't have a bad game. He didn't have a typical Bush game, but he still had a heckuva game
1/5/2006 8:22:28 AM
true, it just seems like a bad game for him when you stand it up next to his stellar performances all year...82 yards rushing and 95 yards receiving would, for most athletes, be awesome against the top team in the land... Bush just set his own bar too high
1/5/2006 8:36:01 AM
IM A COLLEGE STUDENT WITH NO FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE AT ALL. I DO WATCH IT ON TV THOUGH.I KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO GET TO THE PROS.OBVIOUSLY.
1/5/2006 9:32:12 AM
1/5/2006 9:37:32 AM
1/5/2006 9:54:07 AM
so wait hold on.let me make sure I'm understanding something.Vince Young's accuracy, top overall passer rating, all that can be attributed to the fact that he's a colelge QB and it's pretty much a lock that those numbers won't be the same in the NFL (TWW sentiment).but...Reggie Bush, who isn't the first player to average 8.8 ypc in a college season, and did that against some of the worst defenses known to football, is a lock to duplicate that kind of success on the next level?some of you people are fucking nutsgood morning
1/5/2006 10:00:02 AM
I'm no scout, that is for sure, but I've seen a lot of Young. He never seems to throw to receivers on the run and very rarely throws outs (which as we know is one of the most important throws a NFL QB needs to make). To me is Mike Vick with a weaker, less accurate arm. Now does that mean he'll be a bad NFL QB? No of course not, although the sentiment on the TWW is that Vick is a shitty QB too, which is ridiculous..Bush, on the other hand, has every single thing a NFL RB needs; speed, explosiveness, vision, a bit of power, good hands, etc, etc.. If I had to pick one to build a team round it's Bush every day of the week.
1/5/2006 10:03:40 AM
my name is thewolfweb, and I believe reggie bush will average 8.8 ypc in the nfl.
1/5/2006 10:56:52 AM
Well I'm not going to play the 'take a post out of context and be a complete moron' game with you. All I'm saying is Bush has the tools to be an EXTREMELY succesful NFL back where as I'm not sure Young is even on Vicks level (arm strength and accuracy). Considering the ridiculously bad rap Vick gets on TWW (not from me) take that for what it's worth.
1/5/2006 11:03:13 AM
on a different note...Lionheart held on to the ball way to long on that last play.I swear to god those mudda fuckas could have kicked the game tying FG.
1/5/2006 11:05:22 AM
lendale will be the better pro RB
1/5/2006 11:13:06 AM
^thats all i was saying. Bush will be better at reciever or spec teams, than he will be at Rb. He won't be able to outrun guys all the time like he did in college. In the NFL, he will have to block Levar Arringtons and monsters of that type(which he can't really do). But people don't pay attention to other Rb tasks, b/c all they think about is run run run, get to the outside get to the outside, by reggie bush.Everyone is making excuses about how they "keyed" in on him last night. They didnt key in on him. They just buched the lineman in, to force him to run outside so the corners can crash the outside. And it worked. His 80 yrds rushing came in from screen passes, not from handoffs ( they are counted as rushes). Other than that 30yd td run(to the outside, thats all he can do), he gave noting out the back field. Lastnight i saw him go against a bad ass defense, something he hasn't done all year. And I saw the results. Thats whats going to happen to him in the NFL (dejavu of nc) every game if he 1)isnt on a good team-with good lineman 2) Is lined up at the Rb spot consistenly.Hats off to the man. Reggie Bush. Either way, he's going to end up one "paid" dude in a matter of months[Edited on January 5, 2006 at 12:09 PM. Reason : Lendale is a better PRO Rb. He is a TRUE Rb]
1/5/2006 12:03:31 PM
^^^^ that wasnt said in direct response to you, i just wanted to say that somewhere
1/5/2006 12:07:50 PM
you guys are missing the punchline. you have trouble reading. just because someone says he is not pro runnign back doesnt mean he is no pro player. we all know he will be in the nfl and will be decent at worst. i just dont think he will be good at the running back. he had a great game tonight but it wasnt doing running back stuff. that was lendale
1/5/2006 12:41:23 PM
1/5/2006 1:16:26 PM
bush may not be able to run people overbut neither can tiki barberyou people are dumb
1/5/2006 2:18:29 PM
DeAngelo Williams went for 1959 yards on 309 carriesJerrome Harrison went for 1900 yards on 308 carriesReggie Bush went for 1740 yards on 200 carriesDeAngelo Williams plays in Conference USA and Jerome Harrison plays in the Pac 10 same as Bush so don't say shit about Bush not playing against defenses because neither did they.If Bush had carried the ball 300 times he would have gone for over 2600 yards the reason he didn't is because he didn't have to because they had another great back as well. So take away all of his all purpose yards and he still put up HUGE numbers. He won't put up 8.7 yards a carry in pros but don't act like he's going to suck either.[Edited on January 5, 2006 at 4:36 PM. Reason : ]
1/5/2006 4:34:11 PM
^perfect example of inductive reasoning. So, there is no right or wrong. I KNOW what i saw when bush was put to the test. And believe you me, those test are alot harder (no homo) in the nfl. And Bush won't be able to do (run around everyone all the time, never thru anyone, barely up the middle)in the nfl.And when i mentioned Levarr A. thats was basically a reference to his size. Bush can't block guys like him 24/7!!!! get outta here
1/5/2006 5:28:15 PM
bush'll do aiight after they get some muscle fiber on them bones
1/5/2006 5:31:56 PM
Reggie Bush is not a small back. He's not huge but he's definately not small 6' 200. He can add about 10-15 pounds and be fine.
1/5/2006 6:23:42 PM
the muscle wold go for keeping his joints healthy for the largely increased workload
1/5/2006 6:25:00 PM
reggie bush is gonna be a good back in the nflgive him 2, 3 years. let him put on some weight and adjust to some real defenses.i just think that if RIGHT NOW, his body isn't in ideal form for him to be very successful
