^Shit Modern Marvels on the Empire State Building was on in the background this evening while we ate supper. They said that bitch was damn near empty when it opened and they had almost no tenants.

They also had a very hard time back when everybody wanted to move to the area around the Twin Towers when they opened and it took a while to get tenants back into the Empire State Building again. Of course few cities are like NYC and had these massive skyscrapers actually competing for tenants. Most like Petronas and Taipei and Sears Tower are the undeniably dominant tower in their respective areas and don't really have to compete to be the premiere tower in their urban center.
