Both are 3* according to Scout.com, and both are speed guys. One was a high school track star before going to JUCO. Both made plays all over the field with Schaeffer, and word has it that's what got Coach Dixon and the Pack interested. Here's to hoping we can make an impression with all 3.Bringing in guys with ALOT of prior experience with eachother's tendencies could be a major boon for our offense right away. K-State is trying to get back in it with Schaeffer. They were rumored to be one of his top choices before he ended up at the JUCO. I believe KSU was one of his top 5 schools out of HS as well.If we get Schaeffer, I think we have a real good chance at the two WRs. One is looking at Washington State and I forgot where the other is looking... They said they would like to play wherever Brent goes, and we're the only school that they are looking at that is similar with Brent's list.Sign them up Chuck.
12/8/2005 4:31:17 PM
Could we possibly get a few of Brent's Olinemen in the deal as well?!? What's up with the Oline recruiting? I haven't heard much about Oline recruits.
12/8/2005 5:34:01 PM
GOD DAMNITWe recruited a billion linemen last year. It takes time for them to develop. We took care of that problem. This year is receivers and Linebackers....and 2 qb's
12/8/2005 5:39:28 PM
I won't believe that we took care of the problem until I see it on the field. We recruited a bunch of linemen 3 years ago and Heppe seems like the only one who is panning out so far.
12/8/2005 6:00:36 PM
^^assbag football starts up front...you can't get enough solid linemen
12/8/2005 6:02:02 PM
12/8/2005 6:08:16 PM
^^you must be a fucking retardYou cant recruit the same position every year dumbass. We recruited 14 LINEMEN LAST YEAR. What the fuck else do you want them to do? We're running out of linebackers and skilled receivers cause we didnt recruit any last year. Now we're going after them.[Edited on December 8, 2005 at 6:10 PM. Reason : ]

We had 8 last yearWe have no depth... and 2 of them were JUCO's. Add in the fact that a few of them will be busts, and it's pretty easy to see that we need OLinemen. That should be the deepest part of our team, and it's probably 2nd to worst. Need I mention 2004 when our entire starting OLine went down... we nearly had to start pulling kids out of the crowd. Oddly enough, that's when Jay Davis reeaaaaly started sucking ass (Not that he was ever good ). You honestly can never have too many OLinemen. If we could have 8 more worthy of a scholly in this class, we'd probably take themIf an offensive linemen ever sees the field before their RS Sophmore.... preferably RS Junior years.... either they're nasty or you've got problems. We played true freshmen this year (Crouch). [Edited on December 8, 2005 at 6:18 PM. Reason : fsgfsd]

dude you best calm yourself...i didn't ask for any smart ass comments...just asking about the oline recruiting. get over it. i know we need wr's and lb's, just asking if we had any olinemen recruits interested for this year. now remove whatever is stuck up your ass and answer questions with respect.
12/8/2005 6:15:19 PM
this 3 for 1 package with schaeffer would be incredible for us, almost like gettin Manning Harrison and Wayne...seems that with their past experience together they would gel in no time and that is great because the hardest thing to learn over a year is what the receivers like to do and a QB's tendencies... I really hope we get this kid...I like him alot and the group around him...please to come to NCSUwonder how much Chuck is doin to get this guy?^aww internet fighting, how cute[Edited on December 8, 2005 at 6:19 PM. 12/8/2005 6:18:08 PM
I agree Bucky. I'm not sure we've offered them both...or even if we will, but I think it would be great for Brent to come in with a good sense of the most important thing between a QB and his receivers:Timing
12/8/2005 6:19:26 PM
^^^Its been posted on here about a hundred timesPeople keep bitching about the O-line, and the answer is we have a bunch of big guys, but they're too young. Its been posted in other threads...all I said was god damnit...you made the first personal attack. Get over yourself already. You dont look like the "bigger man" by telling me to calm down...this is the internet you dumbass.[Edited on December 8, 2005 at 6:21 PM. Reason : ]

I suggest you get mad and cry about it.
12/8/2005 6:30:21 PM
please children, lets stick to the subjectfight in a PM or somethingI think even without the best Oline this kid could shine, at his JUCO his Oline isnt the best of course and hes doing very well in the videos
12/8/2005 6:30:53 PM
wow
12/8/2005 6:30:54 PM
PM fights are no fun...Makes it seem serious
12/8/2005 6:33:18 PM
His JUCO line is probably better than ours...
12/8/2005 6:34:51 PM
You know what I dont understand...If our D-line is so good...which they really are...why is our O-line so bad? Do they not practice against the first string? I mean D-Mo cant ask for better practice than against Mario, but he still made a lot of mistakes early in the year.
12/8/2005 6:38:56 PM
I think it's a combo of lack of talent and lack of coaching. I honestly have no clue.... but they're bad. Our DLine is gonna struggle next year also... none of our after-mario-and-manny ends are going to be eligible (Green, Peterson stick out )
12/8/2005 6:41:07 PM
Oline is the most injury prone spot on the field because every single play you are going at it, and its not just legs like a RB or arm with a QB or hands with a WR, its legs arms balance weight placement...everything and the knees are by far the weakest part of an Olineman, ever notice how many knee braces an Oline has? thats why we go through them so fast and why we tend to recruit so many of them.
12/8/2005 6:41:50 PM

i wouldn't be the first to cry if mike barry went back to UT.but we do have guys in the wing, a couple juco's. I think we will have better depth and experience next year. Doesn't mean we will have a stellar Oline..but im hoping for more protection. And my opinion is we are in good shape with BS and his recievers. How great would it be to bring them all in?!?!UF fans really wish they were offering Nicholas. We need to make them a priority along with BS. Obviously BS is our greatest and most sought after recruit for us and our coaches. Believe me, they made it very known last weekend how much we want him and how included next year he would be.
12/8/2005 10:37:36 PM
even though this recruiting class started out a little questionable... it is setting up to be a pretty solid class.
12/8/2005 10:42:00 PM
just wait, its going to get better. I promise there will be a surprise recruit we don't think we'll get or is possibly verballed somewhere else.
12/8/2005 10:44:46 PM
hopefully the bigtime defensive lineman from SC will choose us... adam pattersonit would be nice to steal crezdon butler from clemson. i would really like to get deunta williams from unc, but i dont see that one happening at all. i've heard we're still recruiting butler.
12/8/2005 11:32:01 PM
we are
12/8/2005 11:32:40 PM

Imagine what Amato could do with a ten win season (Gator Bowl)? Brings in top ten class. And ten wins in Rivers's last year was certainly attainable, back to back ten win seasons would have been big time. One thing you never have to worry about with Amato is recruiting, he always gets a better class than how we finish on the field. And to think that Schaeffer was all but ours in '04 is sickening to me, talk about one position being filled that would have meant so much to our program. I hate to put that much emphasis of an entire program on one recruit's shoulders, but it would have meant the difference in a few L's over the last two years.
12/8/2005 11:55:46 PM
^agreed, completely. We need Schaeffer bad. Amato can definitely recruit, we can compete with the FSU's, VT's and Miami's of the league... we just need to beat the UNC's, Maryland's, Wake's, etc.... they are who we screw our season up against every year.
12/8/2005 11:58:15 PM
cmon guys, this is the one thing you can depend on chuck for. he may not be able to teach or manage games but he sure is good at sucking off recruits into coming. i mean that was what he did at fsu. look at them without him.and dude is right great line=great offense
12/9/2005 12:01:55 AM
12/9/2005 12:04:40 AM
Schaeffer would have been enough for us to beat UNC, Wake and probably VT this year.I really think so. We were a few good (not even great) QB plays away from winning those games.Clemson and Boston College we just looked stupid everywhere.

12/9/2005 12:25:21 AM
amen
12/9/2005 12:28:40 AM
What we need are playmakers!!!! All these sorry ass floridians. Motherfuckers need to step up. The talent is here, look no further. And Chucky needs to do his homework. Every year we try to find some "new hope of light" to bring in. Im so sick of that shit. They get here, then its like errrrrrr well I heard a kid from timbuktu was comin in thats supposed to be this and that. Develope what we have point blank.

^^what he said
12/9/2005 12:36:36 AM
I agree 'Backer, Which is why I think getting ten wins in River's last year would have been a start to "consistency." Look at Fulmer, 100 wins at the end of the 04 season, meaning over his first ten years as HC, he had an average of ten wins, not too shabby. This year they won't drop out of the top 5-7 (recruiting) simply because it takes more than a year to hurt your class, fans notwithstanding, but that's whole nother issue. Keeping coaches is vital, and I'm glad Beamer didn't come to UNC in '98, we'd all be in trouble

Beamer wanted the job when Mack Brown left and before they hired TorbushI'm pretty sure UNC turned Beamer down... not the other way around. Could be wrong. Just going from memory. Anyone?
12/9/2005 9:18:58 AM
you sound like a carolina fan OMG VINCE LOMBARDI WANTED TO RISE FROM THE DEAD FOR THE HONOR OF COACHING AT UNC i just recall it as beamer whoring VT for more money, i don't think that he ever seemed like he wanted to go. vt is his alma mater, he is successful. . .
