i wouldn't say will smith just because he did a pretty good job with ali.i'm tempted to say jim carrey, bc even though he's branched out some, most of his characters are still cooky in some way (ESotSM being the exception)[Edited on December 4, 2005 at 12:27 PM. Reason : .]

i think its kooky. cooky looks like you're saying he's chef-like. i'd add mekhi phifer. seems like he always plays some variation of a thug.

martin lawrence...always plays as a comic relief moron.
12/6/2005 10:14:44 AM
chris farley (fat, loud, and dumb), david spade (smarmy asshole), chris tucker, chris rock, martin lawrence, jim carrey (tho a few are different i admit)
12/6/2005 11:46:48 AM
For his first 5 years, i'd give you jim carreybut since the truman show in 98, jim carrey has taken on some challenging, diverse, and captivating charactersi meansheltered innocence in the truman showa spot-on andy kaufmann in man on the moona questionable amnesiac in the majestica tough role in the grincha dichotic schizo in Me Myself & Irenethe evil count in Lemony Snicketand of courseeveryman Joel in eternal sunshinesure he has his bruce almightys and liar liars, and probably dick and jane movies, but i'd say for the last 7 years, his "different" roles have outnumbered his "ace ventura as a lawyer/God/thief" choicesof course, i'm biased, because basically anything jim carrey does i'll watchi really respect him as a talented actor[Edited on December 6, 2005 at 11:58 AM. He also did an excellent job as the Riddler. He was probably the best part of Batman Forever.

I have always hated Jim Carrey. . .until 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' -- and suddenly I'm able to forgive him for every heinous comedic part he has done in the past. He just impressed me so damn much.

^^ truman show, man in the moon, the majestic, and eternal sunshine are all examples of the kind of acting jim carey is actually capable of when he's not playing rehashes of his dumb&dumber, liar liar, etc. roles.

12/6/2005 11:39:48 PM
David Goldbloom, his charaters on paper might be different, but he acts the same regardless.
