rockauto.com Lots of parts, fast shipping, and usually good prices.

Depending on the part (of course) the factory ones are expensive, yet much better quality. There is more to the reason autozone can sell you a part so cheap other than dealer markup.

everyone keeps saying the dealer is the only place to get this SOB though. i guess no one makes aftermarket ones.

If advanced auto and carquest dont have it, who would?

Junkyard?

Or the guy who said he could get it on page 1?

Although the dealer tells you a price, they will come down in my experience. Start emailing dealerships and ask them to compete with each other. you will probably find one dealer has none of them and has to order it, while another will have 5 collecting dust.

ok, maybe not the exact part you need, but seriously....

The first link in google for "new old stock land rover" revealed this place:
http://www.roversnorth.com/RRD04/RRD04_17_20/RRD04_page20.htm

They list the ignition coil for $62.50

Took all of two minutes.

[Edited on December 30, 2005 at 4:46 PM. Reason : 62.50 not 65.50]

they are going to put a new coil pack in it instead of a pull from a junkyard. I guess the dealer agreed to cough up the whole 600 and pay the labor for the repair. I was suprised he did because the car is completely out of warranty.

Take it to Land Rover of cary and have them check it out and find out what parts you need. I will get the parts at Employee Cost, and have Dirty fix it.

I drove it for a week (it began fucking up after about 4 days) at the end of that week it went to the shop. I picked it up about three and a half weeks later had it for one day and then took it back to the shop.

It is presently at the shop.

- the REAL problem is sticking valves (as someone suggested earlier) once it heats up the exhaust valves begin to stick and cause the erratic misfire. its going to have to have the valves cleaned/replaced. ($Texas) as someone suggested on page 1.

I'm telling you B, that Yukon for $20k is a fuckin' steal and Tim (the owner of Capital) won't sell you a piece. That's where every single one of our cars (even my Honda) have come from.

the mechanics at land rover said they have had to do valve jobs on these things at as little as 30,000 miles

so hes gonna take it back toward another car thats up there

(only problem) there is not really shit up there but LAND ROVERS

There is a loaded Tahoe (which was what I wanted to begin with) only problem is 104,000 miles.
